Be Still

“Be Still and Know that I am God!!” “Yeah, I know that God, but I have to work today and I then after work I need to run by Walmart and then I have to pick the kids up and take them to dinner and then….”
I said “Be still and know that I am God!!” “I hear you Lord but……”

How many times do we say those exact words, I hear you Lord but? Our lives are so filled with distractions on a daily basis that we are missing out on what God really wants to say to us. Our minds are cluttered with the sounds of life speeding past us, and we are running as fast as we can to try to catch up, only to realize we will never catch up because each new day brings more and more with it.

What are your distractions today? What sounds are you hearing as you rush here and there? Are you frustrated with the cares of life and lack of true living?

The very one that can change our circumstances is saying to us in 2 simple words, “BE STILL”. Today as we look back on the business of this week and all that has come with it why not take 5 minutes, that’s all 5 minutes, and “BE STILL” and know that HE is GOD! He is longing to change our outlook on life. He said “I come to give you life MORE abundantly.” I don’t know about you, but I am ready for ABUNDANT living!!!!

There is more to this life than what we truly know. If we would just take the time and sit at the table that He has prepared for us today, dine with him, and drink from the fountain of living water that never runs dry…. Oh what a change we would see!

May your day be blessed above and beyond and may you truly find the joy and peace of being still and knowing that HE is GOD!!!
