Behold the Lord Shall Come,
With a strong hand, and His arm shall rule for Him; Behold His reward is with Him, And His work before Him. He will feed His flock like a shepherd; He will gather the lambs with His arm and carry them in His bosom, and gently lead those who are with young. To feed is to shepherd, feed, and tend, to pasture, to cause one’s herd or flock to graze, caring for one’s flock, providing good pasture. David’s early duty was to his father’s flocks 1 Samuel 17:15 is followed by his later task of shepherding the heavenly Father’s flock, Israel. Psalm 78:71. The lord is my shepherd; I shall not want Psalm 23:1. It is so important for the body of Christ to follow good shepherds who will lead us and feed us and protect us, that are examples of the true living shepherd, “The Messiah Jesus Christ”. If the proper spiritual food is not provided to you that supplies spiritual nutrients to your spiritual man, then you will die spiritually, just like the human body if it is not supplied with the right food that provides the necessary nutrients for your body to survive, it will soon die physically. A true shepherd never drives his sheep, but rather he leads them, feeds them and protects them from harm. Isaiah 40:10, 11 Amen!
