Yes. It just so happens that the only manmade things in heaven are all the scars on him. The image of God however, It think has more to do with the three-fold aspect of our life, soul, spirit, and body. That is a topic I would like to look at more closely.

God is a spirit, scripture say. Spirits don ‘t have physical bodies. If you look it up in the new teztamen it speaks of righteousness perfection knowledge, wisdom, spiritual eternal life and worth. which image we regain by God’s giflt of faith but had lost in the fall.

Loving, creating, life giving…etc.
I think it’s more characteristic than actual makeup. God is a Spirit and we are dust.

Logically, if God can do anything, He can assume physical form, if He wants. Does He? That’s a different question.

Genesis 1:26-28 if you stay on the text you could find four verbs there. Multiply, Be fruitful, Replenish and Subdue the earth. Thats the image of God…

Being created in the Image & Likeness of God, refers to the ability of Man to have Wisdom and Knowledge – to Think, Reason, Love, have Compassion for others, a Soul & Relationships. One of the BIGGEST stumbling blocks for Atheistic Science & Philosophy, is to explain where Information & Consciousness came from! This is what separates us from the Animals and to have dominion over them. It is only because of Man’s Knowledge, that we have the ability to destroy all of Nature – it is NOT our physical strength! In the 5,000 years of Recorded Human History, there has been NO observable evidence of any Animal Species that has developed any complex Languages, or composed any literary works with any form of communicative hieroglyphics or cuneiform script! These facts continue to baffle Science!

God is a trinity, for no one has seen God the Father and lived, yet here are 3 examples where God the Son had appeared to men. Being made in the image of God makes humans distinct from the animal world, and provides the characteristics necessary to fulfill their duty: dominion over God’s creation. They area also given the ability to have fellowship with God.
Man was created as a rational, creative entity with a will to make choices. This reflects God’s characteristics of intellect and freedom.
Man was created in righteousness and innocence, an image of God’s holiness. Our moral compass…our conscience…is a reflection of that, though marred through the fall.
Man is designed for fellowship, which is the image of God’s nature and love.

There’s no reason to believe that we are physically created like God because there’s no evidence of that. There are limits to what is meant. There’s evidence that we are OTHERWISE like God, distinguishing us from the rest of creation. In THOSE ways we are created in His image.

It would seem that God does indeed have a body. Some might say that’s silly or blasphemous to say, but I think how cool is that?! How much more understandable is he now? In this way he is truly a Loving Father of us, his spirit children. God created everything in the world and in the universe and we in known universe everything reproduces in its natural way. Cats are from cats, dogs are from dogs, ducks are from ducks, bacteria is from bacteria, oak trees are from oak trees and so on… So why would us humans be any different? If he truly is our father should we also expect him to have a body of flesh and bone as well? And if we are his children what happens when we grow up? After all does it not say we are “heirs of God” (Rom 8:16)? Also if you need more scriptures to push the point of God has a body here you go…

9. Ex. 33:21-23 – thou shalt see my back parts
10. Gen. 1: 27 – God created man in his own image

We, like God have 3 parts, so there is that and the gospel of John declared that the Word of God became flesh and His name is Jesus so yes He does have a body.

God has a spiritual body although he can and has appeared in physical form to many such as Abraham and Moses. Angels also appeared in physical form. They, like us, were created in His image. Jesus, after his resurrection, appeared in his spiritual body, again looking like he did before.

I look at it this way, God is a spirit being so are we, God has a mind so do we, God reasons so do we, God has a will so do we, God hates some things so do we, God creates things so do we, God loves so do we, God has emotions so do we, God has laws and so do we, and so on we could go. We have bodies just like God does. Why would we want a body if it’s not something God wanted himself?

1 Thessalonians 5 speaks of the spirit, soul and body. God is Trinity and we are in a mortal sense in those elements.

We are created in the “spiritual image” of God and have been given certain communicable attributes of God that are unique to God and mankind.
Goodness
Being good can only be understood in relationship to God and his character. Humans can be good in relation to one another, but their standard is subjective. Therefore, true goodness is understood in light of the revelation of God in his Word. We can emulate the goodness of God, but we can never be perfectly good.
Hate
God hates (Psalm 5:5; 11:5), and he does so righteously and with perfect judgment and knowledge. However, we often hate unrighteously and in ignorance.
Justice
Where God always does what is perfectly right according to the law, we do not behave perfectly. We can be lawful, and in so doing we emulate the perfect justice of God.
Knowledge
Where God knows all things (1 John 3:20), we only know partially. Our knowledge is incomplete and always will be incomplete.
Love
God is love (1 John 4:8) and expresses his love perfectly through Jesus. Because we are touched by sin, our expression of love towards others will always be tainted. But we are still able to express it.
Rationality
God’s mind is perfectly rational since all that God possesses in knowledge and wisdom necessitates his perfect thought. We, on the other hand, are imperfectly rational. Our conclusions and deductions are not always correct. They cannot be since we are affected by sin and do not have all knowledge.
Mercy
Mercy is not getting what we deserve. We can exhibit mercy to others though we do not always do it properly and perfectly.
Speech
We can speak and communicate. This is an attribute we possess, but our communications are never perfect. An attribute of God is his speech. He said “let there be light” (Genesis 1:3), and it was so. God always speaks truth, and it contains power. Our speech is not always true, nor does it contain the same creative power as God’s speech.
Truthfulness
Truth is a quality where statements properly reflect actuality, but it is also a quality of character possessed by God. We can be truthful, but our ability to be truthful is damaged in part because of our lack of all knowledge and also because of our sin.
Wisdom
People are capable of expressing wisdom, which is the proper use of knowledge. But this is best done in light of scriptural revelation. We can possess wisdom but not perfectly. God, however, possesses wisdom perfectly and always makes the right decisions as well as the best ways to accomplish his decisions.

The communicable attributes of God reveal the image of God in us. , also realised in Covid 19 lockdown we need order as God is a God of order and we need community as God is a self sufficient community and one at the same time so our need for order/routine and community is because we are made in the image of God

God is Spirit, spaceless, timeless, immaterial. extremely powerful and moral, loved us so much, He created us for fellowship with Him after He created the universe. He created us after, because of His love and wanting fellowship with His creation. The reason for creating us knowing we would sin, sent His Son Jesus to pay the price for our sins. Jesus Christ is God in human form and in this body now, He is in Heaven today with a body. When God created us, He fine-tuned us in His image with the ability to reason and think. Means that God shared some of His communicable attributes with man like holiness, righteousness and wisdom. It is not about physical appearance. God does not look like people of Asia, Europe, America, Africa nor does he look like people of Australia. God is a spiritual being. He has no bones nor flesh. He is invisible.

We reflect certain things like a mirror. God is love, we can love. God is good, we can do good. God is spirit, we have souls. These are just a few things. A mirror is not the same as the object it reflects, just like how we are not demigods or little gods. We merely reflect the beauty of God, and what’s even cooler is Jesus was God in the flesh, and showed how a perfect human should live.
