   The five finger prayer is a good guide. Thumb. Those closest to us– family, friends. Index or pointer—those who point the way—teachers, pastors. Tall finger—those who stand tall—our president, leaders, military, police. Ring Finger—the weakest finger- the poor, the sick, the elderly. Little finger—points away from self– prayer for my own needs last
