Continuation – The gifts of the Spirit have not ceased.

  2. Harry Price says:

To say they have is to grieve the Holy Spirit.

  3. Steven Chakarovski says:

In between, yes but not as prevalent

    Correctly applied cessationist.

    Cessation.

  10. Johny Goodwin says:

I would lean towards cessationism but God can work however He likes whenever He likes

I believe the gifts only manifest when there is a need for them or a particular one

    Not all gifts are operating.

I refuse to put God in a box saying that He stopped working in gifts. If Satan hasn’t stopped using his lies and tactics, why would God?

Continuation. I am living proof of this.

Always and always continuation, believing without ceasing. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Cessation is a lie from the father of liars the devil himself.

Gifts still exist but not the apostolic ones.

    I am both..
I am with Continuationism that gift of TongueS and prophecy have not ceased.. at the same time I believe in cessationists understanding of the Gifts..like the Gift of TongueS is real and earthly languages and not ecstatic utterances, Prophecy is speaking to people for exhortation , comfort and strengthen which can be done by Forthtelling and foretelling..and foretelling aspect of Prophecy should be tested strictly on the basis of Deut 18:20-22.
I believe that there are no Apostles today and every thing needed for our edification is in the Bible therefore we don’t need any “new Revelations”.

  19. Alan G Hales says:

Nowhere does the Bible say the gifts, power, Tongues, Prophecies or the five fold Ministers will cease this side of eternity.

  20. Dwight Osborne says:

1 Corinthians says the sign gifts were for the benefit of unbelievers in order to validate the mission and message of the apostles. 1 Corinthians 13 says they would cease upon the completion of Scripture. They are ceased now. However, we’re also told they will return for Israel’s use in taking the gospel to the Gentile inhabitants of the earth during the millennial kingdom

  21. Dylaina Marie Hampton says:

    I’m a Cessationist.
There are no more apostles, so there are no more apostolic gifts.
However that does not mean God cannot do whatever he wants whenever he wants to. God is sovereign over everything.
    But I do believe
    Scripture is sufficient.
There are counterfeits claiming they have the gifts. Two really well known frauds are Todd White and Benny Hinn. Everyone I’ve seen who have claimed to have those gifts have been proven to be false.
Can God use someone to heal you, yes. But it’s usually an answered prayer type setting.
