Choose LIFE… Choose LIFE…

Deut.30:15 “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. 16 For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.”

God was speaking to His children, just before they were to cross over the Jordan River and enjoy good life while they were to occupy the land. This was God’s intention for them (we know, cause He tells them), however he also warns them not to be drawn away to serve and worship other gods, for they will ‘certainly be destroyed’.

Do we, as God’s people really think that this scripture of promise and warning is only for the OT times? Do we not see the parallel into the 21^st Century? Are we really choosing LIFE, everyday?

I pray that I stay hungry and thirsty after God. I pray that I am continually striving to keep my heart focused on and towards God. I choose life, today, tomorrow and choose to walk in prosperity as He provides.
