William Lane Craig’s version of the Cosmological Argument

    1. Everything that began to exist has a cause.
    2. The universe began to exist.
    3. The universe has a cause.

I like to modify this version to be a little more simple in that I say, “If the universe began to exist, then the universe has a cause.”

Which one? There are several. The Kalam goes like this:1

    1. Whatever begins to exist must have a cause

    2. The universe began to exist

    3. Therefore the universe must have a cause
