Why would you not want to. He is my Father and I am His child. Obedience is pleasing

John 15:1-11. If you aren’t obedient, you clearly are not going to stay in God’s love and will be cut off and cast into the fire. Your works do matter.

True faith involves obedience. Romans 2:8

Of course you have to obey God, He is all you have to obey

Our obedience is not the way to salvation, it is the outcome of being born again. We are given a new heart and filled with the Holy Spirit so obedience is done out of love for our Savior Jesus Christ who loved and died for us while we were yet sinners.
