Totally agree. The issue is that God also gives sinners chances and opportunities to repent, but we judge sinners so quickly and send them to hell without showing them love and forgiveness. I am not the judge. All I can do is to forgive and show them grace, mercy and love. If they don’t repent, they have to deal with God directly.

Unrepentant sin will NOT be permitted to enter the Kingdom of God (Rev. 21:27); therefore, sin must be dealt with in Eternity as it cannot exist in the presence of God who is perfect Holiness and Justice. You will deal with your sin in the Age of Grace by trusting in Jesus Christ as your Lord who is our Mediator for sin – or – you will deal with your sin in Hades-Sheol/Torments and ultimately the “second death” in Hell (Rev. 20:11-15). God doesn’t send sinners to Hell. We have to choose the path of continued sin in denial of God’s love and sacrifice designed to reunite us with Him. Hell is the eternal separation from God. That is why the only unforgivable sin is to deny God and intentionally reject His grace. Aside from that… Yes I agree with “Love the Sinner Hate the Sin” you can only treat a wound or disease if you are able to get close to the patient. I do agree with this statement from Sproul, but there’s more to this idea than what is actually quoted.
God loves mankind, yes, undeniable! “For God so loved the world…” John 3:16.
God also hates mankind, yes, absolutely. “You hate all evildoERS” (Psalm 5:5 emphasis added).But here’s the thing about God’s hatred- it is 100% pure and holy hatred. God does not hate like we hate. God’s hatred for sin and the sinner is holy and even good, because He Himself is the standard of righteousness and holiness.
Here’s how that plays in to the Gospel, Amen!!! We see God’s incomprehensible love for us sinners by sending His only, beloved Son out of the riches of heaven and onto His own created earth, a divine rescue mission for us when we, according to Romans 5:6-10, were “weak”, “ungodly”, “sinners”, and last but certainly not least, “enemies of God”. Now THAT is love like the world has never seen, Amen!!
We can see his holy hatred toward sinners and sin as we gaze into the bloodshot eyes of our Savior as he is nailed to that cross, beaten and marred beyond human recognition with His innocent blood flowing into the dirt. You think God doesn’t seriously hate sin? And sin only exists inside the sinner. We are not removed from sin as if “sin” is an organ inside of us like a liver or an intestine…..we ARE sinners.
So, the cross shows us God’s strong hatred for sinners, and also His magnanimous love for sinners.

All of the verses about hell and final judgment have God taking responsibility for sending sinners there. Matt 7 has the sinners begging to escape, and Jesus refusing to intercede.
But I don’t think that talking about God _hating_ adequately explains the data either. Passages like Matt 5:45 say that God loves His enemies and does good for them; Romans 2 gives a whole sequence of events in which God shows kindness and longsuffering toward highhanded rebels and only on the Day of Wrath will He punish them. It surely makes no sense to propose that God was hating them that whole time — that would mean the “kindness and longsuffering” was a pose, a fake.
The solution, IMO, is to take the passages that describe the nature of the punishment for sin _seriously_. Genesis 3:22 defines the punishment for sin as the depivation of what might have been everlastingly continued life. Romans 6:23 says the same. John 11:25-26 says that Christ saves by resurrecting believers to never die, or as Luke 20 expresses it, to never again be able to die.
Hell is not eternal torment with God hating you. Death is the punishment for sin, not torment. Therefore, the existence of hell doesn’t mean God passionately hates the wicked; it means God knows that sin kills, and He designed that penalty — but that while they live their finite lives, God continues to give them good things.
The fundamental error in this meme, and in all the answers, is that people reject Christ’s words that the thing to fear about hell is that God can there destroy body and soul. They instead affirm an absurdity, that we should fear a loving God who torments forever.

While the statement IS true, it is also misleading.
God never gives reprieve to sin, but to the sinner. God does not redeem sin, but the sinner.

Sin cannot exist in God’s presence. In not choosing Christ, people choose their own destiny. There are two alternatives in the afterlife. Heaven or Hell. God has given us a choice. If We Reject him, we reject spending eternity with him, so there is only hell left. If we didn’t want to spend our lives with him, how can we complain that we wont spend eternity with him? God doesn’t send us . We choose. He even made it easier, by sacrificing his son for our sins. So its up to us. God sends no-one to hell. In fact he gave everything to help us to not make that choice!

“God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son”. Clearly God loves all people, but He is a just God. Sinners, those who deliberately break God‘a commandments, are duly held accountable. The adage isn’t all encompassing, and is slightly inadequate because God doesn’t simply punish sin arbitrarily, rather he enacts his justice on the unjust.

I think everyone misunderstand what sir R.C Sproul meant by saying “..He sends the sinners there(hell)” See Revelation 1:18. God has the authority to send every human being there or in heaven. It is not actually by our choice but by His will. Our choice is indeed evil. If someone is truly converted, and do not resist repentance then it is not still our choice but because of His will and Sovereignity. He has the power to send every sinners there because He is the one who holds the key of hell.

Yes God is angry with the wicked every day – but the above statement is a way of communicating the heart of God – the bible says quite clearly that God demonstrated His love in the that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. The above statement is also helpful in having the love of God for the unlovable and sinful in society as some Christians just want to bash and be religious without showing the love and grace of God. But RC Sproul also believes that God decreed that people who are not elect are predestined to go to hell BEFORE there even conceived and it wasn’t because God knew they were going to sin but because they were not chosen to be one of the elect. Calvinistically speaking, sin does not send one person to hell – their being not part of the elect predetermines it.

Unless of course you are once saved always saved then sin is not that important because you can never lose your salvation! At least that is what I have heard! 😉

Actually God does not send the sinner to hell, the sinner sends himself/herself to hell because he/she does not accept the grace of God through the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. God does not destroy our Spirit because it is God breathed and is immortal and a part of Him, of which He cannot destroy; and therefore, our “Spirit” is immortal. Therefore we have only two options in regard to eternity- whether to spend it either Heaven or Hell! Blessings for your question ❤️✝️??

Yes, I agree with that statement. First it is factual based on all scripture. People die everyday and go to hell because they would rather live in sin.

I feel that the focus of the statement is not entirely on point. Somehow we need to focus on obedience to God. I suggest that everyone read Ezekiel 9 which matches up with the marking in Revelation 7… and Deuteronomy 28 the obedient and disobedient which also matches up with Revelation in the trumpets and bowls…

Thousands of years before you were born, God knows already whether you will go to heaven or hell.
He is an all knowing God, know your past, present and future.
You have a free will to choose what is right or wrong, yes, but even a thousand years before you made your choice, God knows already what you have chosen.

The problem with Religious Christians today is that they share the message of Hell stating if people don’t believe. That’s not how Jesus preached His Gospel
The Gospel of the kingdom of God is about Life.
God does not give His people a spirit of fear but of power and of might and a sound mind.
You never want a believe to believe in God just because if he/she does not, shall end up in Hell. You want the believer to believe in Christ Jesus just because of Who He really is. God will not force Himself on anyone. God gave all mankind dominion meaning rulership. -
People send themselves there. God asks over and over to come to Him. When a person finally confirms he or she doesn’t want him, he or she will spend eternity away from him.

Sin is an action carried out by the person. It’s a choice that’s made to do it your way instead of Gods way. He gives all the information and chances to turn to him, but in the end it’s still a choice.

The Bible directly says that sinners will be thrown into hell (Luke 12:5, Matt 5:19). So when RC says sinners are “sent” into hell, the appropriate answer should be agreement, not “no, God doesn’t send anyone to hell.” Yes, He does. That’s what the Bible says. That’s emphatically what it means.
The appropriate answer also isn’t “but God gives them what they choose.” No, He deprives them of what they chose, according to Mark 8:35-38 — they tried to save their own life, but He will take that from them. And in passages like Matt 7:22 and 25, sinners are depicted as arguing against the ruling God gives, and Jesus says He’ll reject their arguments. So sinners _will not_ choose to be thrown into hell.
It’s also not sufficient to claim that sinners choose hell by their actions now. The problem is that this explains nothing Biblically. You could just as easily claim that Christian missionaries choose death by witnessing for Christ — but that’s not actually true. By laying down their lives, they are following Christ and will receive their lives back.
But this last explanation comes the closest to the truth. It’s true that sinners deserve hell because of their works. It’s also true, according to Romans 1:32, that sinners know the righteous decree of God, that all who do such things deserve to die; they do not enforce that decree, but they _know_ it. In the immediately following verses of Romans 2:1-12 we see that God judges people based on the testimony of their own conscience, which can be doubly confirmed when we see people condemning other people for sins they commit themselves.
So it’s fair to say that sinners choose sin even though they know it’s wrong, and that in some sense at least they know what the result of doing wrong is. But this shouldn’t be assumed to mean they’re choosing the penalty for sin — it just means they’re choosing the sin in spite of the penalty.

Amen . God has provided salvation for us but we need to cooperate and be obedient. Our choices will determine where our souls land. Many walk with faith in God’s grace and daily sing Lord Lord but they speak lip service and do not obey Jesus words to feed the hungry clothe the naked shelter the homeless visit the sick care for the widowed and obey the Commandments . Some have become like barren fig trees and like salt that has lost its saltiness

Sinners send themselves to hell by rejecting God. When God creates an angel or a human, He makes them eternal. We’re all gonna live forever somewhere after this life. He made a way for all humans to choose heaven via Jesus’ death on the cross. (Angels who rebelled don’t have a Savior because they knew God personally & still 1/3 stagged a failed cosmic coup. So don’t blame God because so many people chose hell.

So yes, God demonstrated His love in Jesus usward. And it is available all the way up and until the point of death. And God does hate sin because it is the cause of our separation from Him.
Not a fan of preachers, no matter how smart they think they’re being, who dare to call into question the very quality of God and suggest His is not, in fact, Love and that His love isn’t pure and genuine and intended for all.

Hell goes to the lake of fire. Please read the Book of Revelation. The Lake of Fire is meant for the fallen angels, but unfortunately it will also be the final resting place for all who hate God and reject Him. It’s not that God sends anyone there, but in His Sovereignty He will not kill any created being. However if that being rejects Him, then it must reside somewhere for all eternity. And since it has rejected God, then it cannot reside with God.

The Father doesn’t send anyone to hell, it is a choice that one makes to reject The Son. The Holy Spirit is drawing all men (and women) and according to the Bible, everyone has been given a measure of faith, the purpose of which is to choose to believe Him, but they still reject Him.
