Fox news reported this morning that Steven Curry declined an invitation to attend a White House invitation. He attends Central COG where Loran Livingston pastors.

Maybe he doesn’t care much for the current president. I’m not sure what this has to do with issues in the Church of God.

If a pastor doesn’t like Hillary Clinton should they speak about that in his/her pastoral capacity?

I don’t think that a pastor should preach a political party. That doesn’t mean that they can’t have political views on the way things are currently going on. In fact, Christians and people in general need to care about politics even though it is a stressful arena for many. If the president makes political decisions that go against neighborly love, Christians should care and talk about it in their churches.

especially if they hold a 501(c) 3 – they have to be careful.

I’m disappointed in the criticism that Trump is getting in the COG – especially since the Church was non-partisan in the past.
