Dr. Mark Williams preaching on Oct. 2nd, 2016, titled his sermon “ Tear Down This Wall.” taking the same approach as all the other CoG preachers take, he used this O.T. story to imply that, destruction of property and the taking of other people’s land is acceptable if it is done within “God’s Holy Cause”. Williams never showed any empathy or sympathy for those inside the walls. Never mentioned that there were women and children to be destroyed and never explained that though they were peaceful and never attacked the Israelites they were chosen for destruction.
Our forefathers used this same mindset when they drove out the Indians and the Mexicans; that is, that it was part of God’s manifest destiny. While in the N.T. era we send missionaries inside those walls to convert them. How do you see this?
