EVERLASTING LIGHT!
“The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for THE LORD WILL BE YOUR EVERLASTING LIGHT, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; THE LORD WILL BE YOUR EVERLASTING LIGHT, and your days of sorrow will end.” (Isaiah 60:19-20) [This new ministry of sharing God’s word every morning (this is devotion number 408) has really helped me to have a much clearer understanding of the beautiful meanings of the word of God. Early this morning I woke up with this thought, we will not need any form of light, just the everlasting brilliance our Abba Father radiates with His presence. Isaiah encourages us to look forward to the time when we will no longer need the sun and moon; as we enjoy a new, to us, and more direct experience of always being with our Abba Father and we will enjoy His light, the light of His being. Oh, how we will “see” things so clearly them as John says describing the New Jerusalem:] “I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for THE GLORY OF GOD GIVES IT LIGHT, AND THE LAMB IS ITS LAMP.” (Revelation 21:22-23) [The temple of the New Jerusalem, is not a physical temple, made with men’s hands, but a temple altogether spiritual and divine; for the Lord God Almighty, and the Lamb, are the temple thereof. We will no longer need the Laws and Commandments because we will never again be tempted to disobey God. Perfect and immediate intimacy with God will more than supply and fulfill our every need. Our Abba Father and our Lord Jesus Christ will be an everlasting fountain of knowledge and joy to us in heaven; and so, there is no need of the sun or moon, any more than we here need to set up candles at noon day, when the sun is shining its brightest!] “Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but ONLY THOSE WHOSE NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAMB’S BOOK OF LIFE.” (Revelation 21:27) [We will be free from those who are openly blasphemous, none will be admitted who do disgraceful things. We will be free from hypocrites, and liars and people who would say hurtful things, but we will be in the midst of people whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life!] “LOOK, I AM COMING SOON! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I AM THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” (Revelation 22:12-13)
