Can a person if being led to Christ in a moment of passing away truly be saved if repentance has no time to be tested?
I have a related combo question
Is repentance necessary for salvation or does it require just faith or both and is there an order?
To the first question, only God knows!
To the second, faith and repentance are two sides of a coin, or door. You cannot have one w/out the other!
It’s recognizing that you are dead in your sins, asking forgiveness for your sins and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ
Repentance is definitely a requirement.
Faith always produces a willingness to allow Holy Spirit life and will. Sin will happen but, not a lifestyle. But a continual fighting against, until.grace abounds in that area.
Again my answer is the thief on the cross. No salvation without accepting the sacrifice ( repentance) and thats in the heart.

I would say repentance does not need to be tested. God knows whether or not your repentance is wholesome. I would also say that repentance comes with accepting Jesus into your heart, which accompanied by conviction through the Holy Spirit. This causes us to have to repent.
I am amazed at how often folks who misunderstand Saved by Grace, somehow make the leap that it leads people into rampant and wanton sin. Nothing could be further from the truth.
How could a person who:
Trusts God to be the author and finisher of their faith.
Believes that God loves them unconditionally and eternally.
Knows that God has indwelled them with His own Holy Spirit.
Understands that God has promised to never let them go.
Turn around and trash God’s law and live a willfully sinful life?
If this is how you fear you would react, then perhaps you should examine your own heart.
Knowing that I am safe in God’s arms has given me the freedom to love Him deeply and with abandon. I can follow Him wholeheartedly, knowing that even if I miss the mark sometimes, I will not be thrown away. I am free to face whatever comes my way with total assurance that my Shepherd will walk with me, gently calling back to the truth, every single time. Knowing that God has promised me Eternal life causes me to press in, listen more closely, hear more clearly, and be obedient more quickly. It sets me free to train my eyes on Christ and not on my own sin.
I am free of the fear that my own weakness, failure, and sin might be more powerful than the Grace of God. It is His Grace that draws me near and gives me both the desire and the ability to grow in holiness.
The thief on the cross admitted and repented of his sin. Without true repentence in heart, you cannot turn your heart to God to ask his forgiveness and accept his great salvation.
Yes repentance is required. At the deathbed, I think God knows best their hearts. I’m pretty sure most who are really dying, their repentance is real. Turning to Jesus is repentance in itself if you think about it.

True repentance is judged by God. One only needs faith like a mustard seed to move a mountain, and there’s no bigger mountain than death and the grave.

Idk about the death bed. But there was the thief on the cross.. we must follow all commandments. How can you not repent and still be ok . Must accept Jesus believe in him repent from sin.
You have to define repentance.
Repentance seems necessary for salvation, but I don’t know that being tested is. So someone who sincerely repents and becomes a Christian seconds before they die can be saved.
But I think ultimately we don’t know how God will judge any particular individual, including ourselves. We just need to have faith, do the best we can, and pray for others.

First, let me deal with repentance. it has two parts, one is the dictionary definition of changing one’s mind. the second if the necessary change of life that prove the first happened.
One can repent without having been tested.
I will use this as an example. I used to make power steering lines for the Ford Ranger. If you bought a 1984-85 ranger with power steering, your welcome.
Anyway. random pulls of the lines were made for testing. if the part passed, it represented the whole batch, but that is not my point here.
If the part was tested and passed, was it not the same part even if untested?
