Best statement I’ve seen in this group in quite some time.
The passage stated dealt with those who had begun to add works to the gospel rather than adhering to the gospel of grace which Paul had originally brought to them. It is interesting that he had a very harsh warning to the Galatian believers. But he wasn’t addressing sin as a whole. However, in his letter to the Corinthians he was addressing the sin that had crept in, but praised them in their adherence to the truth.
“For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.” Romans 2:13, authored by the apostle Paul.
A gospel that does not speak about God’s passionate love for the lost, is not the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus died for your sins 1 Corthintians 15. That’s the gospel.
Sin and freedom from it.. . Law and grace. The bible has not only the question, but the answers.
Well… whose sin? …the Church people’s or the world’s? Sectarian Xtianity is sectarian because of sin. Why would the world hear a thing y’all say. I stopped listening years ago… when I discovered that “Sola” was added to “Fide” by mere men. I knew by my conversion that was a lie. The results are the same as produced by the Catholic version. Lawlessness! The world is what it is because of false doctrines which produce a bass-ackwards way. Keep thinking you know… ?
Jeff Finster What are you talking about. What you have said sounds like a bunch of jibber jabber. Exactly what are you implying here? I mean if you feel like you have the answer and everyone else is an idiot please share with the group that we may be unenlightened like you. For truly you can not have Christ all by yourself for if you insist of having Christ you must have his body also. So please feel free to elaborate on what your trying to say here?
