God Will Bring Every Work Into Judgment

Ever since God, by the mighty power of His spoken word, divided the waters and the dry land as recorded in Genesis 1:9-10, the seas of the earth have brought their waves to shore, and the tides have risen and fallen. The earth rotates around the Sun, bringing night and day, as ordered by God in Genesis 1:16-18. The one constant in all the order of the Universe has been the eternal, unchanging God of Heaven. In fact, Hebrews 1:3 tells us that He “upholdeth all things by the word of His power”.

I was led in my devotions yesterday to the 12th Chapter of the Book of Ecclesiastes, where Solomon so beautifully described in symbolic language the decline of the human body in old age and urges the reader to remember their Creator “in the days of thy youth.” But then the very last two verses of Ecclesiastes 12 are clearly directed to whosoever happens to read these words, be they young or old. Remember this; the Bible teaches us that Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived. As a young man, God had told him, at a place called Gibeon, to ask of God anything He so desired, and God would grant it. Solomon asked for wisdom, and his request pleased the Lord, and God granted to him wisdom beyond that of any man.

So now this wisest of men, in Ecclesiastes 12, verses 13-14 is about to write the last words he will ever record to be read for all time in God’s holy word. What will he say? What would you want all generations who follow you to remember? Here are Solomon’s last recorded written words………….
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
Both Solomon and his father David, in the books of Proverbs and Psalms, tell us that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

We see now a world and a generation that have lost their fear of God, even denying His existence. To many, the Bible is an ancient relic and nothing more. We kill little unborn babies by the scores of millions and, as a nation, wonder why all of this calamity is upon us. We openly flaunt the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah, ancient Greece and Rome, all of which became rubble, ending in their own destruction, and we wonder at the rapid decline of the United States and all such nations who live in the filth of debauchery and open sin, denying the very existence of an all-powerful and Holy God.

Yes, God will bring every work into judgment. The only thing preserving this nation from total destruction is the presence of the righteous who still fear God. God sent angels to pull Lot out of Sodom, and then God destroyed it.
Soon a trumpet will sound, God, with great power, will remove the righteous, and tribulation will engulf the earth……..Be ready, my friends…..please be ready.
