Happy Easter Sunday (from Australia) everyone! Debate on the physical resurrection of Christ, perhaps? Bonus points for specifically debating the empty tomb, the post-resurrection appearances and the attitude of the disciples who ‘were willing to die for a lie’!

I know we have our own little talk going on about the kalam argument. But if you saw my intro, the resurrection is my area.
I will go with what Dr Habermas refers to as the 4+1
The first four facts are universally agree on by both theist and atheist scholars and well as liberal and conservative scholars (reference to this data can be found in his book “the case for the resurrection”)
1. Jesus died on the cross. This is attest to by 4 biblical writers who were either eyewitness or knew the eyewitness. Additionally the fact Jesus died on the cross is supported non-biblically by Tacticus, Mara-bara, Pinley, and Josephus to name a few. This is important because if he didn’t die as prophets said he would the resurrection would be impossible.
2- the apostles were deeply saddened by the lost of their leader. This fact is rational. They were also scared of the punishments they faced for following Jesus. 3 days later they became happy, and boldly proclaimed Jesus. This is because the apostles BELIEVED they saw the risen Jesus.
3- Saul of Tarsus was a rising star as a Pharisee. He persecuted Christians unto death. He became a Christian because he separately BELIEVED he saw the risen Jesus. This is enemy attestation to the possibility.
4- James the mortal brother of Jesus didn’t believe Jesus was God. This is embarrassing for God that he couldn’t get his own brother to believe him. After separately from the apostles and Paul he BELIEVES he saw the risen Jesus and became a Christian.
Lastly the +1 . In a survey of 2200 academics and scholars on the fields of Roman and/or Jewish history as well as ancient textual scholars and theologians 75% agree the evidence shows the tomb was empty.
The only single explanation of these 5 facts combined that makes any logical sense is Jesus was resurrected.
