I think the problem here is that the two are set up against each other. You can have Church AND study yourself. Church is required for fellowship, encouragement, edification etc. Solo study should help you choose a congregation, help you keep them in check, and most importantly, make you a functioning and effective member of the body of Christ. Anyone who says they need no church because they study the Bible is, as the meme says, proving they don’t actually study, and a decent church will call them out for it.

what if you watch church online?
Problem with going to a Church building run by denominational hierarchies is… false doctrines and teachers who know nothing of what they speak yet have a stronghold their message. Mixtures of Truth and lie always. The way of peace they do not know. Warring factions. Who could endure such a thing?
Other church members need to see you there to be encouraged.

These scriptures don’t indicate the need for a leader, or even church, only the meaningful meeting of some who love God to read and revel in his word.
I need the (born again) church, but I don’t need a born again church that is treated and managed as if it was a corporation.
I wonder what it would actually look like if we had a church just like Paul set up.
what happens if like me you study the bible a lot , look stuff up on the internet,am signed up to online bible course but I know as much as or usually more than the church leaders of local churches ?
Actually, Studying the bible IS for yourself, that we may be equipped and guard our theology. When it is for the bigger body of Christ, we are called to teach, rebuke, correct, and admonish on the bigger responsibility of Christians within the body of Christ. That’s the dual purpose of diligently studying the Scriptures.
While the first sentence of the OP is flawed, when a person do study the Scriptures, they will know that a Christian has a bigger responsibility and role within the bigger body of Christ, he forms the essential part of the body to serve with his or her gifts he or she is given. They cannot miss that if they do study the scriptures for themselves. And yes, we do need the Church, not just because we are the CHURCH, but we serve each other in this body of Christ, the Church hence fulfilling the laws of Love Christ has commanded us.
You’ve got the wrong book twice over, Don D’prince. Hebrews isn’t doctrine for the new man, and whatever you’re quoting from isn’t the Bible.

We ARE the church. We can choose to assemble in any manner or in any numbers on any day we see fit. We don’t need to go to a building called a church.
