It definitely is not on the other side of the racks as they used to call us. They have some great services there. Most Pentecostal churches are either contemporary or dead in our area. Some still sing the old songs, but you’d have to pour water on them to get them to respond. I can’t take rock ‘n’ roll shows in churches. I have tried, but I can’t stomach it. If I sound bitter, I have prayed and I would rather stay home and worship with these people. I talked with this pastor and he was nice enough to try and help me find a church in the area, because he had run some revivals don here, but the closet one is 50 miles one way. I realize I do need to fellowship of a church family. I get more out of the Baptist churches in my local area than the Pentecostals. Something is wrong with that. I don’t expect much out of Baptists but I get more. I know there is no perfect church and that is not what I am hunting. I want to go to a church again where the power of God is falling and they let the Spirit have it’s way. Is that asking too much?
