I am finishing a book of sermons preached by a CoG preacher some years ago. Even though he is dead and gone, his sermons live on. I find many of them so relevant to today’s church.

I. THE SCRIPTURES REVEAL TWO DISTINCT AREAS OF HOLINESS.
A. I CORINTHIANS 7:34, “. . . that she may be holy, both in body and in spirit.”
B. II CORINTHIANS 7:1, “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
1. Physical holiness is an outward manifestation of spiritual holiness.
