“I believe she (Paula Hill) is a Christ follower!” -Jeremy Carter By the majority of this forum the belief in sanctification is progressive and we can’t go by externals. By that understanding (which is NOT my understanding) Jeremy can not say that Sister Hill is a Christ follower. According to the majority on this forum we can’t say who is a Christ follower. They can’t say who is saved. That is something only God knows. That is Baptist belief. Shame we have to make this link to Baptist. I ask the SBC pastor of the church I last attended and he said we don’t know who is saved.

So most members of this forum do not know if Sister Hill is following Christ. My belief is YES she is a born again child of God but I do not believe she is following Christ. She lacks the holiness by which we need to see God.

well if you actually believe in fruit following followers of Christ then we are on the same page. Fruit are manifested in qualities that can be seen and perceived by the five senses. It is externals that we know who are followers of Christ, known by the fruit they bear.

However I don’t believe you can tell who is holy because you believe it is of the heart. You assume that Bro and sister Hill are holy. You don’t know my spiritual condition You don’t know anyone’s spiritual condition.

As long as they are baptist and hold to baptist beliefs they are NOT Spirit filled. They say they are. Remember we believe in the Baptism with the Spirit subsequent to a sanctified life. You can’t ignore that belief.
