I think I may be onto something with an apologetic(ish) I just made up…..

A great discussing point with your skeptic friends. In a world full of as many deities as the day is long, or for our evolutionary friends who believe in chance, all of that consider…… Why do you think it is that the calendar of the modern world revolves around Christ? Out of the countless things it could be based on, or all of the “deities” that could exercise their sovereignty, why Christ?

The answer is clear, Christ is sovereign, Christ is God.

  1. Daniel First says:

Pretty weak apologetic argument. They will just point out that Christians in charge were the ones who revised the calender

  2. Harold Goldman says:

Though it’s true it’s more of an assumption to those who don’t believe

  3. James Goyen says:

The calender doesn’t revolve around the character of Jesus.

There are at least 3 other calendars being used today.

  4. Doug Hammond says:

At least you’re thinking. To use the current calendar system as a proof falls apart upon scrutiny. There were other dating systems in place. The general adoption of BC/AD, BCE/CE, etc as a dating system gradually developed with general use as a standard due to government decree.

  5. Arthur Adam Haglund says:

As a Christian I will say that I would never use that apologetic the reason that we have the calendar we have is because the Roman Catholic Church ruled Europe had power over Kings and princes for around 650 years that’s why we have the calendar that we have right now

  6. Radziwill Tablada says:

Of all the names to be used for as a curse word why is Jesus used so rampant? why not Mohammad, Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi,Bahaullah, Rastafari?
