I was curious what you guys think the most effective way to evangelize is? My church does it one way but I am curious if there is another.
Update: do you feel like door to door evangelism, is proper evangelism?

Preaching in public. It’s God’s appointed method. Mark 16:15, Matthew 10:27, 1 Corinthians 1:21, Luke 14:23, Isaiah 58:1.

Many many different ways. I believe the best way is prayer and love. When people see united loving joyful Christians they will come to us. On top of that patience and continuous prayer.

I like The Way of the Master. Developed by Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, & Todd Fiel. It also helps tremendously if you know the word of God inside and out. Praying is a must too

For me, based on experience a door to door is not so effective. But maybe for my neighbor it is. What i meant here is that there is no such thing as *proper* way of it. And maybe instead of looking for the most effective, you can look for ways how to maintain or stabilize multiple strategies in the church. Since the word of God is the bread of life thus the food of our spirit, we can compare feeding the word to others with the ways we also feed the physical body. You see, there are different ways to be fed like eating rice, eating bread, drinking shakes, licking lollipop, sipping coffee. It depends on which strategy will be most effective on the situation of the person you are evangelising. Maybe a one to one will do at a certain period, or a group gathering, or group chatting. Posting in social media. Stuff like that. Analyze the culture your community has, observe and study your capabilities, then align your strategies to it. Anything will work. In the end, any strategy will work if the Holy Spirit is in the midst. Remember it was written, when 2 or 3 are gathered in His name then He will be in the midst. But if they gathered for any other intentions (you know, intentions that are personal, financial, etc but are masking as evangelical intention) then what else should we expect?

Paul used Creation as a Springboard in Acts. We have found Creation and Prophecy work well in the Markets we do and on an individual basis. My opening line is ‘Do you believe in Evolution?’ Most people respond, I think so, ‘evolution says we evolved from Monkeys, do you believe that?’ 99% of the people we ask are somewhat offended by that idea. We then give them some free literature, for example a back copy of the Creation Magazine. See Creation.com

Let God do His part, we are just instruments of God and don’t be discouraged if they don’t believe to what you say to them. I am not saying that we will stop evangelizing people but let God move to them. That Gospel is enough who can change the the life of people not strategy or technique how we speek. Pray and let God do His plan. I am not saying number of the church is not important but we must focus to God’splan always and there are Mega Churches and there is not, but the bottom line is preach Gospel of Christ because I believe it is only the Gospel of Christ who can change people. If the gospel they heard did not change their live that is not the Gospel. We don’t need to add strategy for the Gospel of Christ, He is enough.

One-on-one. A lot of people are giving really vague advice here which probably shows you that they haven’t spent a lot of hours trying out different types. Video/Youtube is effective but mostly for training. Open air is okay but is often stereotyped and ineffective due to the ‘soundbite’ preaching. Door-to-door can make people feel like they’re being cornered. Friendship evangelism often fails and is a great excuse to not actually share the gospel. Walkup one-on-one means that you’re able to cater each conversation to the person, making it very very effective

There is no incorrect way to share The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Go to any and every sordid place. I prefer to be a “master questioner”. Watch some Ray Comfort and Living Water videos on YouTube. ?

Let people come to God. I’ve never heard of a single person being influenced by some random person at their door.

I believe the two most important things to keep in mind are 1) the Lord is the one who saves, 2) don’t compromise the Biblical integrity of the Gospel message to promote a decision. God is the one who saves. You just share the message as He has presented it in His word.

I know door to door evangelism is proper evangelism. My church has grown because of it. I’ve seen people’s lives change because of it.
While I don’t agree with Mormon or Jehovah Witness theology, they certainly have that down pat. -

I don’t think there is one good way, everyone is different. Just make sure you tell them the gospel. You’d be surprised how many people have no idea why Jesus was on the cross. And make sure you’re patient and loving especially if that person has questions.

Mine is simple: when friends tell me about some life challenge, I ask ‘May I pray for you? I have a Friend with superpowers, shall we ask Him?

God uses all thing for His glory. If we spread the truth of Jesus and His gospel then the Holy Spirit will allow those with ears to hear and those with eyes to see that truth. God Bless you and keep speaking His truth.
