I'm sanctified and free from sin, my Savior died that…

I’m sanctified and free from sin, my Savior died that I might win; I’m in the way of holiness, where I shall stay and Christ confess.

I’m sanctified and love the Lord, to Him I cried, believed His word; He heard my cry and set me free, I’ll every try to faithful be.

I’m sanctified and going home, from His dear side I’ll never roam;
I’m looking for my Lord to come just any day to take me home

Chorus
I’m sanctified, I love Him best, H’s by my side in every test;
If you have not this blessing tried, remember friend for you He died.

Note particular that this song is not a Baptistic song but is a song about sanctification subsequent to the new birth. It is not a “means” to lead the unregenerate to the new birth but is a song appealing to the new born to go on to sanctification.

“to him I cried, believed His word; He heard my cry and set me free.” The Baptist would sing this song as an evangelistic song to lead the unregenerate to know and accept the Lord.

This is a “Methodist, Wesleyan” song sung to appeal to sanctification.
