In this time of pandemic, we can’t really do much but to trust God, see that He is still in control of what’s going on, and pray to Him.
Yet, I find one of those many passages that talks about prayer that is very interesting and might shock many of us.

Proverbs 28:9 NIV
If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.

Proverbs 28:9 TPT
If you close your heart and refuse to listen to God’s instruction, even your prayer will be despised.

It says here that God despises the prayer of someone who don’t listen to Him. Their prayers are detestable thing for Him!

Let’s ask ourselves right now, not how often and how long we pray, but how genuinely we listen and obey God’s word?

If you’ve been failing God to obey His word, take the opportunity to dig deep to His word and obey Him. As long as we have life, we still have time to repent and be right with Him.
