faith should never be blind but the definition of “evidence” is i guess. very broad and debatable.

What does the Bible mean when it says “faith”? What does the Greek word “pistis” mean? You can claim what you think it means, but if what you think it means is contrary to what the word actually means, then it is an incorrect usage of the word.
Pistis means belief, trust, and something like fidelity or faithfulness or loyalty.

If God gives you a invisible eye that see visible things I believe faith can be describe as invisible eyes that sees the spiritual things that our visible us cant see but this faith is came from God.. And sustains by His grace, proven by the scripture and the Holy Spirit living inside you if your a born again Christian… Just a though of mine cos I experience it when I was praying my eyes is close but my spirit see clearly those people I’m praying for … For me that is faith saying the unseen things.. In only born again Christian can have it…

yeah, it’s not faith in nothing, faith in faith nor is it self derived. the christian faith is on the self evident God of scripture. & that faith is a gift to us when we r regenerated by the living God. so is repentance & all else required & needed for our salvation.

Faith in context of scriptures actually means to trust in God, to trust in one’s relationship with God and come to the knowledge of God.
When one has knowledge of God, one becomes qualified and has something to measure against the verifiable and falsifiable evidence of God, that is observable, measurable, consistent and peer reviewed evidence of God, even by science.The issue most believers and non believers have, is they don’t come to the knowledge of God and start from a false premise in their own failure to identify God as He described Himself thousands of years ago before scientists could attempt to interpret the sciences.
Faith in God is the beginning as most think it’s the end, all that’s required.

Faith itself could just mean “confidence”. How you get “confidence” isn’t included in the definition of “faith”. Being confident because of evidence is still faith

The evidence for God is overwhelming. Look at life in all it’s forms. And let’s not forget the earth itself is alive. People choose to ignore the evidence because of sin and Satan’s influence. Seek the Lord God and we will begin to see things through our spiritual eyes under the direction of the holy spirit.

Neither. We know the Bible is true because of the evidence that supports it. We do not have faith in the Bible but rather we have faith in what it says. We know that Jesus resurrected so we do not have faith that the resurrection happened but rather we have faith in Jesus because it happened. Faith is not belief over evidence but rather what is produced from it.

Read through John…then Acts. The evidence of His resurrection sits firmly in the fact that the disciples all died for their belief.

It’s based on evidence. The evidence comes after choosing right. Faith is not blind because Christians know they will be blessed when we do God’s will.

That is funny cuz you cannot see Jesus Body and He said blessed are those who believe and do not see. When he said that he was Talking to people who could and and believe. So I guess that you would have to understand that by not seeing him and having faith and hope in something that hasn’t come yet is part of the way we believe today but in earlier bible times when people saw God there was no atheist back then they just worshipped idols instead so I wonder when you bow before God on his throne and call Him Lord of Lord and King of King remember this warning when you refused creation as evidence and his #ressurection and empty tomb and you deny the truth

I recommend Clark who defines faith and saving faith as, “Faith, by definition, is assent to understood propositions. Not all cases of assent, even assent to Biblical propositions, are saving faith, but all saving faith is assent to one or more Biblical propositions.”

There are those who demaand evidence based but then give us evolution as an alternative base theory of being here. Which ievidence is interpreted by presuppositions are are themselves unprovable. ACCEPTANCE of that is blind faith especially since they are so stumpted by what is.

From what I can see so far, there is Faith, and then there is Blind Faith. So Faith, is not necessarily blind….

Evidence is absolutely necessary for a person to believe the Gospel. Evidence, as a matter of fact, is necessary for a person to believe anything at all.
Some people’s minds are inclined to require less evidence to believe a thing than others’, but the mind must be persuaded.
Furthermore, what is considered “evidence” is not always “true”. Therefore, the mind might believe a thing that is false, accepting false evidence as truth.

If faith will be based on something in front of you its not faith anymore . Its like this you are sick you went to a doctor cause you have belief the the doctor can helo you coz if not you wont go there ..

Yes and no. There is an abundant of evidence, but at some point you have to make a decision on it.

Christian faith is produced by the voice of God (Word in us) and our hearing of it? Only then can we become doers of God’s will. A deeply personal endeavor and must necessarily be. This is because no man can be trusted as a director of another’s steps. The will of God only will prevail in the end. Doing ones own will or the will of another man will not prevail in the end. Men set snares… God does not.
We must believe that God is (instruction)… and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (promise). IOW, do the things Abraham did.
