Is there any verse in the Bible that would explain why some people do not get healed of sickness ?

Isaiah 45:7 God is sovereign over all things including life and death, healing and sickness etc. But the wonderful thing about God is that we know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.(Romans 8:28) Even in sickness, death there’s always good and there’s always meaning.

We are in a fallen world, filled with sickness and health challenges. This is not the health-filled paradise of the Garden of Eden. God on rare occasions reaches down to heal. It is rare … His ways are not out ways.

There are several scriptures which equate sin/forgiveness with illness/healing. We humans are a stubborn bunch.

I wish I had better answers to this question. My 9 year old daughter who was healthy the day before died in her sleep last September, so this is not merely an academic question for me.
I don’t know what all the reasons might be, but I do think that it’s important to notice that at least some things happen against God’s will. For example the Pharisees rejected God’s purpose for themselves by refusing to be baptized in Luke 7:30. We should also notice that Job blamed God for his suffering, but when God responded from the whirlwind He mostly talked about all the things Job was ignorant about. The first thing God said was “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?” and then goes on for 4 chapters listing all kinds of things that Job is mostly ignorant about. Part of Job’s response was “Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know”.
We aren’t given a complete list of the reasons why bad things happen to us, but I think it’s a mistake to conclude that everything that happens is all part of a divine predetermined plan. It seems that sometimes God might want to act and that there are things hindering Him from performing healings. For example, in Mark 6:4-6 “Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.” 5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6 He was amazed at their lack of faith.” I don’t think our lack of faith is the only factor that limits the options that are available to God, but it’s one of them.

Believers get healed. Most have to wait for the resurrection but we all die and we all end up healed. If it is in God’s plan and if it will help meet His purpose, we WILL be healed here and now. BUT it might not be. Leaving this earth is NOT such a terrible thing that He should necessarily prevent it. It means going home. It is appointed unto man, once to die. God Bless.

Great question. I honestly don’t know. There are verses in the bible that specifically tell us that God is no respecter of persons so that would apply to this as well. I can think of real-world examples, alcoholics, cancer and the list goes on, but I don’t have any bible verses for you. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any though.
