Jesus gave us a very clear warning that in the end times one of the major problems of the Church is SEXUAL SINS.
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭GW
“But I have something against you: You TOLERATE that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. She teaches and misleads my servants to SIN SEXUALLY and to eat food sacrificed to idols.”‬‬
This is a grave warning not just to those who are doing this sin, but also for those who tolerate it. Unfortunately, we find very few who confront this problem head on even though it’s a sin plaguing the Church. So let’s get this straight.
If a Christian is actively engaging in sexual sins, the Holy Spirit is not in him/her. And if the Holy Spirit is absent then there is no salvation for that person.
Sexual immorality is the only sin that involves the body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1Corinthians 6:18-20). The word Temple in this verse actually means the “Holy of holies”. We simply can not defile the dwelling place of the Spirit of God and expect Him to stay.
The Holy Spirit inside a Christian is the guarantee of salvation (2Cor.1:22).
If the Holy Spirit leaves because of sexual immorality, then that person has simply lost the gift of salvation.
‭‭
When David committed adultery with Bathsheba he knew he lost the Holy Spirit inside him. David also knew he lost his salvation. That’s why he repented and prayed;
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭51:10-13‬ ‭GW‬‬
10 “Create a clean heart in me, O God, and renew a faithful spirit within me.
11 Do not force me away from your presence, and DO NOT TAKE YOUR HOLY SPIRIT FOR ME.
12 RESTORE THE JOY SALVATION TO ME, and provide me with a spirit of willing obedience.
13 Then I will teach your ways to those who are rebellious, and sinners will return to you.”
Let me repeat…
If a Christian is actively engaging in sexual sins, the Holy Spirit is not in him/her. And if the Holy Spirit is absent then there is no salvation for that person.
There is no way around this but to REPENT!

    You are an uptight Christian.

  2. Yosef Shum says:

Adultery is a metaphor for sin in general because a covenant with God is a marriage. Once again we see over an literalization of everything .

  3. Steven J Taylor says:

David wasn’t sealed with the Holy Spirit

  4. Seth Iris says:

Correct me if im wrong, its better for a christian to be married so he or she wont be subjected by sexual sin…?

So a lustful woman or man may be made holy by marriage? I think i read it from apostle Paul…

  5. Ugo Torcasio says:

Not sure Salvation is lost through this. The Holy Spirit was not in David as Holy Spirit within is NT. Jesus took it a step further that even if you lust you have committed adultery. So by what you are saying we all lose our salvation. You have created a doctrine from a few verse. The “doctrine” of losing salvation is a much debated one requiring many verse. Hebrews is a book that seems to speak of it.

  6. Curtis Todd says:

This is one of my main problems at the moment, with christianity, which has been cleared by many people on here to help me understand.

However that’s what my main problem at the moment is.

Christians and sexual immorality, what sexual acts even in the confines of a christian marriage are sexual sins or acts against gods gift of sex?. I understand the whole expressing love between eachother thing, but you can still use sex to do that while using it for it’s primary purpose to reproduce.

I don’t think married christian couples are granted sexual sin immunity

  7. Noé Walter says:

Jesus talks a way more about the sin of greed. But a few christians seems to care, and often encourage business prosperity…

  8. Zoey Granitz says:

This Jezebel that he speaks of actively bears false witness and not only condones sexual sin but teaches to *do* it. She is a teacher, which means she’s a leader.
People commit sexual sins all the time and the Holy Spirit convicts and invites us to repent before *during* and after. We don’t lose our salvation. David said don’t take your spirit from me, yes, as in, please don’t forsake me for this.
No one can overcome sexual immortality *without* the Holy Spirit. So without the Holy Spirit, none can be free of it.

  9. Jeffrey Torres says:

Who’s eating food scarified to idols?
By your standard, this would also be a sign of the end…so who’s doing that?

  10. John Michael Templer says:

Wow what a pious self righteous POST.

  11. Victoria Petersen says:

How do you know there is all this sexual sin going on in churches?

  12. Alan Parsons says:

Sexual sin isn’t just in the church.

  13. Krys Blake says:

    Karen Blake views?

  14. Karen Blake says:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 English Standard Version (ESV)

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous[a] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[b] 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

  15. Karen Blake says:

People need to exercise self control and discipline. It’s not about being boring or even self righteous it is a REQUIREMENT of being a Christian. People continue to ignore the truth though it is staring them in the face. We are to make Jesus our Lord and Saviour. Lord tells us we are to be obedient to Him. We are truly in the times when evil is called good and good is called evil. You people had better stand correct according to The Holy Bible or don’t it’s entirely up to you. But as the above scripture states you will NOT enter the Kingdom.

  16. Carmelo Cortes says:

Sounds you don’t need a reply.

    You need a pulpit!
