Living in the 21st century as an Evangelical christian it…

Living in the 21st century as an Evangelical christian it is shocking and puzzling how some “Christians” still hold to such strong anti-semitic views. Apart from ones political opinion concerning Israel, there is no denial of Jesus’ Jewish-ness.
He was born of a Jewish mother, in Galilee – a Jewish part of the world. All of his friends, associates, colleagues, disciples, all of them were Jews. He regularly worshipped in Jewish communal worship, what we call synagogues. He preached from the Hebrew Bible. He celebrated the Jewish festivals. He went on pilgrimage to the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem where he was under the authority of priests…. He was born, lived, died, taught as a Jew.
Furthermore, Paul the Apostle to the gentiles did not “invent” a new religion (i.e. Christianity). Paul preached the grafting in of the gentiles into Abraham’s promise, through Christ.

When did some of us develop this arrogance?
Paul warned us of pride and arrogance or else we too will be cut off.

Romans 11:19-22 “19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.”
