I disagree with you. Roman Catholicism is not a cult. Before the birth of Protestanism, the Roman Catholic Church, even with some of their false teaching that we Christians believe in, preached honestly the Gospel to the world after the death of the Apostles and their faithful disciples. we are just latecomers.

Gabriel – I agree, this guy I’m sure has no idea what the CC teaches and needs to try to straighten out the 35000+ protestant denominations that developed in the span of 500 years which contradict each other. Funny he doesn’t address this.

Why some evangelicals and protestant cults call the ancient apostolic catholic church a cult? Like a cult is some weird fringe group with a weird set of beliefs, thats exactly what these new churchs are. It sounds like they are trying hard to call others what they are.

Another weird thing is how Christianity is beautiful because it is NOT a religion of the book. Unlike jews and muslims that are bound to the letter of the law in a book, we christians are a religion of a Church a body of believers that have the Godman as its core. But somehow even that the protestants managed to pervert.

Yo chill. Jeez just because they do it differently and have slightly different teachings and doctrines doesn’t mean they are a full blown cult. I don’t think they meet that criteria. Now they do have some teachings that can lead to cultic behavior if done wrong such as prayers to saints. That’s one step away from worship, which unfortunately some do worship the saints such as Mary etc. That is however, a misinterpretation of their doctrine and those that do that are in error. The same thing can happen in our protestant denominations. People can over due it and fall into error. I’ve seen people from Baptists to pentecostals take something to the extreme and fall into befuddlement.

I don’t agree with the RCC, but I believe there are more respectful and loving ways to help people (some of who are genuinely mislead) toward the truth that is in us. Harshness often hardens the heart.

You are just blinded and brainwashed by Roman Catholicism.
