Lucifer/Satan cannot block out God, so he blocks out us…by blinding us.

When God said to Adam, “Where art thou?’, it was not because God did not know where Adam was; God knows all things. God asked Adam to show Adam that he was lost. For clarity of concept, it would be like saying, “Do you know where you are?” to someone who was visibly disoriented.

Well actually the name Lucifer doesn’t originally come from the concept of Satan.

Satan distracts and deceives which encourages US to block Him out.

This is why Paul, in my own paraphrasing says, the mind is where the battle field is. We need to get control of our thinking (think on things true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, praiseworthy), take every thought captive, casting down imagination.

That is short for never leave your eyes from God.

Feeling shameful and hiding from God is our natural reaction to sin. Notice God came looking for Adam in the garden. He chases us down.

Like when my wife asks me if I took out the trash when she already knows the answer to the question.
