How do Trinitarians explain.the son being co eternal when not until the birth of Jesus is he to be called the Son of God

What He is called at any given moment is irrelevant. There is no designation of “The Holy Spirit” in the OT. Does that mean there was no “Holy Spirit” until the NT?
John 1:1 explains it pretty clearly, in a clause that you can ignore, but you can’t get away from:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was WITH God, and the Word WAS God.”
It is clear that the Word is BOTH with God, and IS God. That is two individuals, both of whom are God.
And yet there is only One God.

Here, Paul writes that God, the Father sent his only Son, to become a man. Here the existence of the sonship of Jesus is evident before his incarnation.

You just posted it earlier. Christ carries the spirit of God. But Christ also has a body.
This is what the beginning of John means. Remember, God is a Spirit without a body!
Christ is the body that carries the spirit of God.
The mind of God. And Christ is the only body God Has. It was never contaminated. Like ours.

Read first Peter 1:20. God had foreknowledge of Jesus being born. He was with God in his for knowledge.
He was around before the incarnation: He set aside His crown, and put on the mortal life we all have here. John 1:1 says it was all made by Him (Jesus), then 1:14 says He put on flesh and dwelt among us. And He did all of that knowing what end His flesh would be brought to, for you and me.
“Will be called” is predictive of the fact that He will be called such by men in the future, not an explanation that He was not such from before time. This passage would not prove the eternal nature itself – other scriptures do that – but it certainly does nothing to disprove it.
He was mostly called the son of man, even by his own words.

God is known by many names, describing His attributes. Why is it so difficult for you to see the names of Jesus including a name indicating His Sonship as man/Divine being?

This is a silly question. Just because Jesus would be called the Son of God in the future by enlightened humans did not mean that He was not already called the Son of God beforehand by angels, seraphim, and cherubim in heaven, not to mention by Nebuchadnezzer gazing into the fiery furnace. Such silliness!
He isn’t called ‘the Son of God’ alone.
He also shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, Prince of Peace.

I think it has been a trend for thousands of years has been to name a child after they are born. This child was spoken of, way before his birth. A simple
western thought cannot prove a negative to a deep concept.

most trinitarians …while they think they comprehend the great and deep mysteries of the Godhead….they actually cannot simply understand the meaning of the word Begotten. Instead they choose to believe a false doctrine that claims there is a God the Son in scripture.
Don’t read one verse in the Bible and want to use it as a contradiction to what people believe in concerning the Bible. Read the Bible well fully and understand before concluding anything

I think what matters is the Word was with God from the very beginning , therefore, co eternal.
Because Christ has always existed, just came to earth in human form that we might see the character of God, and that eternal God might die (and rise again)…..

Your question is based on a factually incorrect statement. The Bible makes clear that the Son was pre-existent and with God in the beginning.
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you **before the world began**”
John 17.1-5
Jesus himself was almost stoned for saying before Abraham was he was. Read the whole scripture stop reading one verse and follow up with questions do you even read your storybooks like that?
God, as three persons in one being, existed before time. God the Son was begotten of the Father, yet he is eternal just as God the Father is. The absence of time is not something we can comprehend. Some would say that it is irrational. However, I would say that it is more super-rational, as it is above our comprehension. We cannot fully understand the Trinity and how it works, but we can attempt to understand some parts of it which we are taught in Scripture, which is God’s revelation to us.
It does seem odd that if the gospel writers were Trinitarians and understood the son to be an eternal, separate individual within the godhead, that it doesn’t it say that the son sat upon Mary It does seem to imply some form or modalism, that Jesus is the holy spirit incarnate.
