Our words become self-fulfilling prophecies. If you allow your thoughts to defeat you and then give birth to negative ideas through your words, your actions will follow suit. That’s why we need to be extremely careful about what we think and especially careful about what we say. Sadly, many people are living discouraged lives because of the words they speak over themselves and others.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
Psalms 107:1-2
A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:20-21
Words are “seeds”. Send out seeds of faith. Romans 4:17– call those things that are not as though they are. Whatever and man sows, that will he reap. Galatians 6:7 The Parable of the Sower in Matthew 13, he was sowing words. Sow generous seeds of faith, expecting a bumper crop in return. Thank God in advance for things that haven’t even happened yet. That’s faith. “Oh give thanks to the Lord for He is good.” Speak a blessing over your day. Prophesy good things over your family.
