North Georgia is one of the strongests districts for the cog.There are six congregations that receive over $ 100,000.00 per month in tithes with two hovering at $ 200,000.00. The N. Ga. area is also strong for the UMC and for SBC; it would be interesting to have a sociological study to show why this is the case.

Last report I saw listed Church at Liberty Square as the highest contributed church in the district. I am proud to have been a part of the church. Great ministerial staff. They graciously sent me off to pastor my first church and have made themselves readily available to help me along to way.

The SBC is strong everywhere in the South but I’m sure having a congregation as strong as Mt Paran helped pave the way to producing other large congregations.
