And in prophecy news, there’s been significant movement on several fronts. Florida is making headlines, suing top medical groups for what it calls the ‘reprehensible’ promotion of child ‘gender transitions,’ seeking heavy fines for their alleged ‘immoral’ efforts. Elsewhere, pro-life leaders are sharply criticizing the FDA chief, accusing him of intentionally ‘slow walking’ an abortion pill review. Internationally, the United States has been identified for the first time as part of the threat picture against Denmark, according to their military intelligence. And on the diplomatic stage, British, French, and German leaders have met with Zelenskyy in London, aiming to reach a consensus with the U.S. and Ukraine regarding European allies.

Finally, let’s look back at significant moments in Jewish history for this day, December 12th. Way back in 456 BCE, Ezra convened a gathering to address the pressing issue of intermarriage. Later, in 627, the Byzantine army, under Emperor Heraclius, defeated Persian forces at the Battle of Nineveh. This victory meant the Eastern Roman Empire regained control of the Middle East, including Jerusalem, though Heraclius unfortunately didn’t fulfill his promise to his Jewish allies regarding control of David’s City. And sadly, in 1098, during the First Crusade, Christian forces breached the walls of Ma’arrat al-Numan in Syria, leading to a massacre of about 20,000 inhabitants, an event some historians view as a precursor to the atrocities that would later unfold in Jerusalem.
