Part 2-
I am For truth and Against error.
That’s all.

I challenge anybody to produce even one passage in scripture that says a GENTILE is called “Elect”.

Here is my proposal:
-Election is not related to salvation!
-Jews and Gentiles can both be saved, but only israel is elect.
-Election is a call to service.
-God appoints people to specific positions/offices here on earth through His election.
-Salvation is available for every last person on earth.
-God has NOT elected anybody to be saved.

(( i have a separate article addressing Ephesians 1 and 2 coming out later, so you won’t find them here.))

The very first passage in scripture showing Election refers to Jesus himself.
“Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.”
Isaiah 42:1
-This is a messianic prophecy.

“For Jacob my servant’s sake, ?and ISRAEL mine elect, ?I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.”
Isaiah 45:4
-Jesus and all of the other elect come from physical Israel. This never changes throughout the entire bible.

“Knowing, brethren beloved, your Election of God.”
1 Thessalonians 1:4
-Here we see the Jews in Greece who have accepted Christ after they heard the Gospel in Acts. They were not gentiles. Scripture confirms this…

“Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,”
Acts 17:1-2
-The elect thessalonians were from israel. They’re not gentiles. This church was originally a Jewish synagogue.

Even Peter (an israelite) refers to himself as one of the…
“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”
1 Peter 1:2
-and to his audience….
“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”
2 Peter 1:10

-He’s writing to people from israel. Not gentiles.
“Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,”
1 Peter 1:1
-The word for “strangers scattered throughout” is Diaspora, or the dispersion. The same group James writes to…

“James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.”
James 1:1

-Nobody would think the “12 tribes of israel” are Gentiles. They’re israel! They all rejected Jesus, except for the small remnant in Romans 11.1-8 that God carried over into the new covenant. That’s the entire framework of the New Testament.

-Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles. Peter and James wrote to israel. A simple reading of Acts 2 will verify this. 3000 Jews people were added to the church after pentecost when Peter preached. it’s mentioned several times in acts 2. They’re not Gentiles.

-what about this?
“Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;”
Colossians 3:12

-Those at colossae are gentiles, but they are not elect. Notice Paul begins this verse by telling them to DO something. He says “Put on!…” Paul is giving an exhortation to the church at Colossae, telling them to imitate the Elect (which Paul and the other apostles are from). The Greek word for “as the elect” is hós eklektoi. It means “Be like the elect, Act in this manner, Conduct yourselves like the elect does”.

-Peter uses the same word hõs when he says,
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”
1 Peter 2:2
-hõs artigennēta brephē

-Nobody thinks new believers are literally thumb-sucking 8 pound infants in diapers. They’re “like” newborn babies desiring milk.

-Jesus says the same thing.
“Behold, I send you forth? as sheep? in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
Matthew 10:16
-Nobody thinks they were literally 4 legged, woolly, grass-eating animals. No. Jesus sends them out “like sheep”.

-hõs never means “you are” something. So, Paul is telling the colossians to imitate the elect. He is not identifying the colossians as elect.

Even Romans 8:28-9:5 is about Israel. That’s all one big paragraph, which includes the elect in verse 33. Notice in 9:3 Paul says “For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:”

-Brothers/kinsmen “according to the flesh”. These are fellow israelites, not brothers in Christ according to the spirit. He loves them so much that he would trade places with them if he could, so that they would be saved. The very next verse tells us plainly who they are…

…”Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;”
Romans 9:4

-The adoption belongs to Israel. The glory, the covenants, and ? “the SERVICE of God!”? That is exactly what Election is. It’s a call to service. God appoints people to offices of service, the same way we elect people to offices in America. Where do you think we got that idea from??

-but aren’t we all one in Christ?? “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:28
-if this means there is no difference among us, then are you willing to let two women get married? It says there is neither male nor female. Of course not. Neither am i.
-All of us being “one in christ” means that we’re all equally saved and equally valuable to Christ. It still doesn’t mean we’re all equal in function.

“For as we have many members in one body, and all members HAVE NOT the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”
Romans 12.4-5

-Exactly my point. Some members have offices according to election. Others don’t.

Paul says “for I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:”
Romans 11:13
-Right there is Paul’s personal election. And again, we all know that he was a Jew. A hebrew of hebrews. This is why he begins his letters – Paul, called “to be an apostle”. He never says – “Paul, chosen to be saved.”

-In fact, there isn’t a single passage in the entire Bible that ever says ANYONE was “chosen to be saved”. And yet calvinism has built their entire foundation on this principle which doesn’t exist in scripture.

if you think I’m wrong, then explain this to me…

Paul writes to Timothy. “Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.”
2 Timothy 2:10

-he endures all things for the elect so “that they may ALSO obtain the salvation”?? Does that mean the Elect aren’t automatically predestined to be saved? Exactly!

-Calvinism says that the Elect are the believers. Does that fit here? “I endure all things for the believer’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation”?? No way! it only makes sense because all the Elect are made up of israel, and not all of israel has accepted Christ.

-Romans 11.28 even goes as far as saying that the elect as ENEMIES of the Gospel! “As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.”
Romans 11:28
-the “they” is Israel both times. They’re enemies of the Gospel in our eyes, but because they’re the elect, they are beloved in the Father’s eyes. He still loves israel. Go read Zechariah 12-14 if you disagree.

-Now, how could the elect be enemies of the Gospel if the elect were all sovereignly predetermined to be saved before the foundation of the world?? Calvinism tells us that election IS the Gospel. Was God wrong?? No. Calvinism is wrong.

There are only a few other references which don’t identify the elect at all, such as
“The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;”
2 John 1:1
-Nobody knows who she is. It could be a jewish woman or even an originally jewish church referenced in the feminine sense.

Of all the verses that identify the Elect, none of them are speaking of Gentiles. Elect always refers to the Jews chosen by God for a purpose and a position here on earth. That’s why it CAN’T mean “chosen to be saved”, because Gentiles obviously are saved in scripture, even though they’re never elect.

No doubt, i will receive plenty of comments about how incredibly wrong i am, and how i need to pray that the Spirit reveals the truth to me, and how it simply isn’t possible for all these famous preachers to be so wrong for so long… but none of them will carry any valid refutations against what i have shared above. They will all be based on the front-loaded premise that “Calvinism must be true at all costs, and anything challenging Calvinism is automatically false.”
