SHOW ME

SHOW ME

“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”– the things God has prepared for those who love him– these are the things God has REVEALED TO US BY HIS SPIRIT. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God…” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10) [When I was gloriously saved I was working as a design engineering in a very competitive marketplace. I was blessed to have designed and patent systems for the Graphic Arts Industry, so as I began, for the first time at age 29, to study the bible, I felt I could understand because of my intellectual abilities. As I studied my feeling was that I had a good understanding, then I arrived at Romans 6, discovering that I had no idea what it was talking about. So I asked the Lord to SHOW ME. Reveal to me what the meaning was. He led me to the above scripture!] “What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, SO THAT WE MAY UNDERSTAND WHAT GOD HAS FREELY GIVEN US.” (1 Corinthians 2:12) [Take note, There are wonderful things which God hath prepared for those of us who love him, and wait for him. There are such awesome things prepared for our future life, things which sense cannot discover, present information cannot deliver to our ears, or can enter our hearts. Life and immortality are brought to light through the gospel, 2Ti_1:10. But the apostle speaks here of the subject-matter of the divine revelation under the gospel!] “Don’t you know that YOU YOURSELVES ARE GOD’S TEMPLE and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and YOU TOGETHER ARE THAT TEMPLE.” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17) [Christ by his Spirit dwells in all of us. All of us as Christians are separated from common uses, and set apart for God and his service. We are sacred to him – a very good argument against all fleshly lusts, and all doctrines that give expression to them. If we are the temples of God, we must do nothing that shall separate ourselves from him, we cannot corrupt and pollute ourselves, and in so doing make ourselves unfit for his use; and we must not listen to doctrine that would seduce us to any ungodly practices!] “Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, YOU SHOULD BECOME “FOOLS” SO THAT YOU MAY BECOME WISE. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” (1 Corinthians 3:18-20)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that WE OURSELVES ARE GOD’S TEMPLE AND THAT GOD’S SPIRIT DWELLS IN OUR MIDST!
