For those who believe the earth is warming up and the winters are not as cold as they once were, they haven’t passed through Tennessee in the past 60 days!  While we have had no snow or ice, the weather has been extremely cold.  At times the days pass without ever seeing the orange glow of the sun.  I am sure the people living in the northeast that recently experienced a major blizzard are wishing for “global warming “to return.  This debate goes back and forth and there are opinions and “evidence” for and against the belief.  This one thing I do know…I am anticipating the end of winter and the beginning of spring.

     While winter is one of the four seasons God gave at the beginning of creation, the weather of winter is different in various parts of the world.  On the east coast, cold will eventually give way, the singing of bird’s returns, the warm sunshine beating across your brow and the smell of flowers blossoming will be greatly welcomed!

1 Kings chapter 3 captures a conversation between God and Solomon …

That night, there in Gibeon, God appeared to Solomon in a dream: God said, “What can I give you? Ask.” … Here I am, set down in the middle of the people you’ve chosen, a great people—far too many to ever count. “Here’s what I want: Give me a God-listening heart so I can lead your people well, discerning the difference between good and evil. For who on their own is capable of leading your glorious people?” God, the Master, was delighted with Solomon’s response. And God said to him, “Because you have asked for this and haven’t grasped after a long life, or riches, or the doom of your enemies, but you have asked for the ability to lead and govern well, I’ll give you what you’ve asked for—I’m giving you a wise and mature heart. This has been my prayer for years in anticipation, expectation, and preparation for where God is taking me.

I encourage you to pray for wisdom because with that you can handle all the areas of your life.  Ask and He will give is what the Bible says.
