Thanks for accepting me into the group
I have been having a lengthy Facebook discussion with a non-Christian friend about a book by the philosopher Bertrand Russell titled ‘Why I am not a Christian’
Apparently one of the main reasons is something along the lines of “Does anyone honestly believe that the world we live in is the best an omniscient creator could come up with?” and I answered straight away that Russell seems to be leaving out one of the most significant parts of the bible – it explains very early on in Genesis that the world we live in now is not the best possible world because of the fall. Most of the other reasons I’ve heard seem to deeply misunderstand Christianity
Is anyone familiar with the book?
