A major convincor for me Curry the ultimate close. 11 men who saw him unjustifiably slaughtered and Rise three days later and die Hard spreading that message?

  2. Rondel D. Methvin says:

Love it. All true. Not ONE of His disciples, even under unimaginable torture, recanted their Testimonies about the Truth that is and was Jesus.

  3. Ed Weems says:

Muslims put on a suicide vest because they believed in their belief.

  4. Iemand Niemand says:

    Yes. True.

  5. Ed Weems says:

I would say that is evidence but by no means proof, using that logic some people will be getting 72 virgins.

  6. Nick Juliano says:

Yes. Very TRUE ! No man will die for something HE KNOWS is a lie. The disciples lived with Jesus, travelled with Him all over. They were eyewitnesses to the many things Jesus did. They could have just gone back home, instead they went to different parts of the world to spread the Gospel!

They Witnessed the below, Which testifies He is the Son of God, in the flesh.

People being raised from the dead.
    Healing the blind
    Healing leper’s and the sick
Feeding thousands with a couple fish and pieces of bread.
    The resurrection
And other things we don’t even have record of!

Below is how they were martyred.

The proof that Jesus is the Son of God is in the Scriptures. The disciples willingness to die was because they truly believed they had seen Jesus resurrected. That doesn’t necessarily prove that he was resurrected (though he was) but it is a very important part of the evidence that the resurrection is true. There are many other evidences like the empty tomb, the eyewitness accounts around Jerusalem where He was crucified, the conversion of skeptics like Paul and James, etc.

  8. Thato Masiu says:

Even if His disciples did not do as expected that would not have nullified the greatness of our Lord Jesus Immanuel Christ. That was all for us to believe. He is Lord God incarnate. He suffered more pain that any man can bear. He died so that we live. He is Alive. He is not dead. He is risen. He is proof and evidence all in one package. He is the Almighty God. 😀

  9. Sheila Anne says:

Very true. They walked with Jesus. They knew

  10. Chuck Pratt says:

Amen flesh and blood did not reveal it, but they knew they were so sure they were will to die for Jesus!

  11. Ralph T. A. Ranger says:

To add to how powerful this statement is. When US president Nixon was being investigated for watergate. It took less than 2 weeks for half of President Nixon’s closest and most loyal friends to sell him out and testify against Nixon. All because they feared a light prison sentence in a minimal security prison.

Of course the apostles never changed their story. They were stoned, crucified, skinned alive, imprisoned in hard slave conditions working mines, thrown off cliffs and many more. People don’t suffer through torture and death unless it is such a strong truth death is better than lying. Even soldiers given enough torture will normally break and confess to things they know to be a lie.

This statement is used in the minimal facts argument for the Resurrection of Jesus.

It was developed by Dr Gary Habermas (an expert on the resurrection).

I would suggest if you can read this book. He goes into great detail on why this is important.

Radical Muslims put on a vest to take lives Christian are willing to give up their lives to reach lives look at the 21 Egyptian Christians that were beheaded for their faith

What are your sources for the claim of the disciples laying down their lives?

  16. Chris Krumlauf says:

The disciples put their lives on the line for what they saw.

  17. Jerry Spencer says:

People die for their beliefs, that doesn’t make theirs beliefs true.

Planes were flown into buildings, does that make their belief true?

  18. Kim Churchman says:

Know any fishermen etc willing to be painfully killed? Must’ve been an amazing Jesus

  19. Mark Richmond says:

Not really. Have to have more than that and Christianity does.

  20. James Boykin says:

People will die for what they belive…. Muslims do it all the time… but very few if any will die for what they know to be a lie (if the resurrection of Jesus was a lie…)

  21. Marcus Everett says:

I’m sorry brother but that logic doesn’t hold up, I doubt you believe the deaths of the terrorists who killed themselves causing 9/11 is evidence of Muhammad, would you agree?

  22. Romualdo Venturanza says:

N.T. Wright, the renowned scholar and historian who spent all his education and precious time to investigate the history of Christianity states a fact that no scholar nor expert nor historian can refute: The Resurrection was the single most significant reason why an obscure Jewish sect of timid and largely illiterate Jews and disciples of a crucified leader could explode and rage like wildfire to dominate the Roman Empire above the dominant religions like Judaism and Roman paganism. The disciples willingly went to their executions after violent and cruel persecutions by Roman emperors, time after time. Christianity could not be contained because their followers knew what they actually witnessed as fact – Jesus died, and rose again and walked and preached for forty days and ascended into heaven, witnesses by more than 500 people.

  23. Marilyn Hogue says:

So what does that have to do with Jesus??

    Hebrews 11:25-35 ,Philippians 1:27-30✌️

Michael the archangel said it directly to Mary regarding Jesus.

  28. Jeremiah Ayangunna says:

You’re right sir. To be more logical, His Sonship is seen in the following:

    1. Birth (Matt. 1:21)
    2. His life:
    ?Baptism (Like 3:22),
    ?Transfiguration (Luke 9:35)
    ?Miracles (Luke 8:28)
    3. His death (Mark 8:31)
    4. His Resurrection (Matt. 28:1-7)

Finally, the Power in Christ’s Name that works wonders today! (Phil 2:9-11).

    Shalom?

  29. Emmanuel Njikang Meteh says:

During His arrest they all escaped except John, but after the resurrection they were bold enough to face death . Tangible truth seen with their own eyes.

  30. Tom Salamone says:

No the proof is in his resurrection from the dead

  31. Peter Richichi says:

This is a terrible argument. 1000 people laid down their lives for Jim Jones, Heavens Gate, Branch Davidians…..just because people are stupid enough to believe nonsense and even more stupid to give their lives for it HAS NO BEARING IN ITS TRUTH.

  32. Arnelle's Page says:

    The proof is the Resurrection.

  33. Jeffrey Sanate Hmar says:
