I dont understand why a Man can wear a Neck Tie but it be a sin for a Woman wear a Necklace..that Neck Tie does not come with his Suit..It is bought seperate and it is for looks…

How the world has changed; now the movies come to us in many different ways , via DVD’s, TV , smart phones etc., how to handle the intrusion is now the question.

The question is…can what we’re watching be approved by God?, many movies today blaspheme against Jesus or God or curse His Name… I encourage you to watch at home the christian movie “The Time Changer”, very educative and well made movie that mixes fiction with reality…

I never attended a cog or aog before 1994 because of the man made rules that put more weight on a mans wedding ring or hair than their life! There was so much judgmental bondage back then. I am glad they voted them out. Especially when a few things were not against the Bible but against what people thought was holy. Let it go your not going to get them back so encourage the people in what is in effect now.

I only posted to show everyone what the CoG Teachings were for its first 100 years of history; as well as, help others here understand why many of us still believe in them, especially we who belonged to that CoG. Hopefully, the group will give more consideration to us and fully understand that what some may call Legalism are standards of holiness to us.

I agree with your last statement.
I believe the issue is that “consideration” is a one way possibility meaning that those holding to the older teachings are very quick to lay accusations at the feet of those who do not hold to the same as they try to work out their own salvation. I personally do not get concerned if they do or don’t as long as they are consistent. So many are not consistent in the application of the teachings and beliefs, older believers or newer.
I hope that does not cause offense.
I tell you that with a heavy heart due to the fact that this type of conduct split my church 4 years ago. The older wanted to openly accuse the younger and less experienced believers in ways that were not too christian, but wanted grace extended to them if they were misunderstood and out of line. One lady took pride and bragged about “jumping” the younger each time she did it, normally publicly. She would meet visitors at the door as they were coming in telling them, “we don’t allow people like you around here”.I hold each to the standard that they say they believe.
I threatened her with me filing charges against her for sowing discord.
I simply asked for each one to witness their testimony and Jesus to the people and groups the Holy Spirit was leading them to. The younger were doing that. The older would not. The older never brought friends or visitors and tried running off the friends and visitors that the younger were bringing.So how do the differing generations work together to that end?
