   I asked you to repent because you said I’m not a Christian for disagreeing with you on guns, not because you said God is in control and all powerful. I believe God is in control and all powerful. I just disagree with you on guns. Your view is contradictory, because you pick and choose when preparation is wise and when it shows a lack of faith in your opinion. My view is simply this: you have the right to life, you have the right to defend that life, and you have the right to be adequately prepared to do so. That is not a non-Christian view. I can have faith in God AND be wise while I live in a fallen world.

   Now, I’ve looked at your profile, and it seems you’re actually very young, and English might not be your first language, so I think I might have a better understanding of where you’re coming from now, as well as why you can’t fully understand me. But for goodness sake, please at least try. Ask me what I mean if you don’t understand.

   Let us put it this way. I have been in ministry 20+ years. I have a bachelors in Christian Ministry. I am considered a Bible scholar to a point. But! I have a .38 in my truck and a 12 gauge loaded with buckshot at home.
   The Bible says you cannot rob a man lest you tie him up first. You won’t get that chance.
   I know I am saved no matter what and I will take it up with God but if you are a threat to my life or my families you will lose yours.

   Yeah I think you’re totally in the wrong here.
   Just because we have faith doesn’t mean we are immune from the evils in this world. A bit of personal responsibility goes a long way. You don’t need to test your faith by being irresponsible, even Jesus points that out when Satan tells him to throw himself of the top of the temple.
   Jesus even told his disciples to carry a sword.
   David used a sling to kill Goliath, he didn’t just stand there and wait for God to smite him.
   Having weapons for the protection of yourself and others is a good thing. Period.

   Dude, you are so in the wrong here. You’re calling a guy “not Christian” because he doesn’t agree with you. You’re literally taking God’s authority and judging his heart and ultimate destination. Bro, in case that didn’t sink in, *you are now guilty of usurping God’s authority, which is the crime Lucifer was cast out of heaven for*.

   As for the guns, I have sisters in Christ who were raped. All the faith in the world didn’t save them, but a Glock would have. Your ideal faith doesn’t apply across the board. Only a very few get that special intervention from God. The rest of us need to protect ourselves. Someone brought up the Texas church shooter and I think that’s a marvelous illustration of how God can place a man with a handgun in the perfect place to save His Children. A lot of people with a lot of faith would be dead if not for a few pieces of well-placed lead. God uses handguns to protect His children, bro. Face it. Faith has nothing to do with the tools we use to protect ourselves.

   God is in control and all Powerful. In Job Chapter 1, Lucifer had to get permission from God to attack Job. God sent evil spirits to harass Saul. God tempted Abraham to Sacrifice Isaac. God changed Pharaohs mind several times. God is Sovereign and Holy.

   God gave us a brain, we also naturally fear danger which is called our survival instinct. We can still have faith and protect our families, in fact it’s natural to do so!

He Spoke/Thought …. the Holy Scriptures, and even the evil one has been USING twisted versions of God’s Word to deceive at and since the fall …. in the Garden of Eden. How to overcome? Stand fast in God’s Holy Way of Salvation, putting on ALL the ARMOR that God has to Give unto His own. By the Holy Blood of the Lamb, By the Holy Word of God, Who is Jesus the Christ, Who leads us unto all Truth and Life Eternal, we over-come ALL. “Resist the devil, (with what God has Given to His believers), and he shall flee.” Stand fast, endure, be profound and enduring in He Who so loved you.     I have to say Seth here that I would also be in agreement that you kind of went too far. The Bible does say that we are to judge those inside the church, so we do have to on occasion ask the question if someone is legitimately saved or not. But, when we do ask that question it should be based on their rejection of scripture, not their rejection of OUR opinion of it (capitalised our for emphasis). What you did there was question Jay’s salvation because he didn’t agree with you. That isn’t how it should be done, and it isn’t really Godly conduct to be honest.

    I’m honestly not sure why this needed to be another post. Or certainly not a post which targets Jay specifically, because to a lot of people this will look like you’ve done this out of spite. I don’t think that was your intention here, but that’s what it will look like to a number of people unfortunately.

    Can I ask you Seth. What is your objection to Christians owning guns? That seems to be the source of this disagreement. Jay seems to think it’s fine, and you have some deep-seated disagreement with that and a deep conviction that no Christian should own a gun. That conviction seems to be the driving force here.
