To you who attended Lee College from 1969 through the mid 1980s, you will no doubt recall Mike Gibson who went about always saying, “God’s Good.” Mike loved Lee and its students so much that his mother called Lee’s Office and asked why they did not graduate her son? Their response was, “Mrs. Gibson, Mike is taking nearly every course we offer. He could have graduated some years ago.” Finally, Dr. Ray H. Hughes, Sr pulled up in his car when Mike was walking down the street and Hughes basically informed Mike that he needed to leave the college. He had been there too long. Mike said he responded back to Bro Hughes, with tears rolling down his face, “Send me somewhere. I am willing to go anywhere to any church.” But he said that Bro Hughes just slowly drove away. Nevertheless, I had Mike to come and work with me at the Church of God that I was pastoring at the time. Since he had a Teacher’s Certification, I had him to work in our Christian Academy in 1982 or 1983. Later, after our ministry purchased A. A. Allen’s old bible college campus in 1999, and I renamed it Miracle Valley Bible College & Seminary, he came to work with me at Miracle Valley, Arizona. Here, he is receiving the offering in a church service that was being held.
