UNANSWERED QUESTIONS HINDERING MY BELIEF/FAITH

Often I would find myself faced with a question that really disrupted my faith and belief in God. Now I’ve learned that I do not define God. My concepts of Him come from a finite, and often corrupted, view. Even when my motives are pure I’m prone to letting bits of misinformation influence me. He is what He is no matter how messed up my perception is of Him. Psalm 131 is my standard when hard questions arise. Not all questions matter, and some are just too big for Man to understand. If I can’t figure something out I just let it go for the time being rather than turning on God. We should always ask questions and seek answers, but if an answer isn’t readily available we can’t let it destroy our belief in God.

    Very well ? It is absolutely natural that there are things we don’t understand, yet, about our God. But I can say with confidence, not arrogance, that we know enough to trust Him. He has revealed enough about Himself to be trustworthy and if we do that rest will fall in place sooner or later ?

    Keep asking and searching. God will answer those who diligently seek Him. That answer can come in the soft whisper of the Holy Spirit, an example around You, a song, or any way God wants to reveal Himself. God used different means to get His message across. A burning bush, a great fish, parables, a talking donkey, ect…. Whatever answer You get must align with Scripture. God will not contradict His word. God bless You and keep searching!!

    I’ve realised that the bible is irrational and contradictory. I guess I’ll just continue my search in life, maybe all life spirit is God. ?

    One trap that many fall into is they allow a doubt to become a conclusion by not doing proper research (it’s intellectual sloth, really). Satan plants seeds of doubt with this knowledge.

    There is room for science and physical explanation in scripture, but there has to be room for faith and the supernatural. Abraham belived God for who He Is, not what we think He should be. It is a blessing to come to understand its by faith.

    I used to doubt God and the Bible quite often, but once I became honest I had to admit the majority of my questions and oppositions to God were there because I wanted to be okay with my sin.

    There’s a lyrical verse – “All of my questions are answers to my sins.” It came from a staunch atheist.

    well i dont think those are the only options. i dont think you should just ignore things that make you question nor do you have to abandon anything. looking for evidence and good reasoning is not turning against God, neither is being unsure.

    It seems folks are misunderstanding my post. All I’m saying is when we can’t find an answer to our question we shouldn’t stop believing in God.
