Your own personal relationship with your God who will show you and give you understanding into all the scriptures of the Bible. It is called revelation knowledge from God by the Holy Spirit.

Google: Always be ready. It’s a website that covers a lot of topics and teachings.

Find preachers who teach the Bible verse by verse instead of jumping around and who read it in context. Then, adding historical knowledge is highly useful to understanding it. Master Jesus’ Church has been around for a long time, now, and there is a lot of meaning that has been established a long time ago: stay away from people with ideas that are strange compared with those established ideas (especially if they go against something in rightly understood Scripture) UNLESS they can show that they really are more in line with the whole of Scripture. Try the commentaries on BlueLetterBible.org. J Vernon McGee, Lester Sumrall, Tommy Nelson of Denton Bible Church, and AW Tozer are some to be getting started with. Stay away from Roman Catholics – they’re too given to the exceedingly sinful Pope (it’s very sad.), or the Eastern Orthodox or anybody who … read the Bible, verse by verse, prayerfully and earnestly. God will tell you – we are all too sinful to be completely relied on, but He isn’t sinful at all, and He wants you to know Himself Who is The Truth.

Wow. To many to count. I’m not a big Bill Oreily fan per say. But his book Killing Jesus uses many of these sources.

You will be surprised at what is revealed when you study scripture by specific subject. The Bible is not set up to be read like a novel, it’s set up to be searched and studied, a little here a little there lineup online. The bereans were not reading the Bible they were searching for specific prophecies concerning the coming Messiah which is a specific subject. A good example of a little here a little there is John 3 where we find the two births but you do not find the two bodies there you find the two bodies way over in 1st Corinthians 15 natural and spiritual.

The Greatest Book of Dispensational Truth by Charles Larkin. He was a Draughtsman in the 1800’s, became a Pastor, had difficulty explaining the great themes of the Bible so he put them down in pictorial form with a Scripture at every point he made. He got Creation wrong not being aware of the Science of the 20 th and 21st centuries but otherwise very eye opening to see how God’s Economy has worked since Genesis 1. Available new or second hand.

When you receive the Holy Spirit, He teaches you. You apply the patience fruit of the spirit, and you read that scripture and the complete chapter… Then you pray about it. And you think about where Christ is coming from. The love, and His desire for your repentance, and that you Love God Most. And He reveals it to you on time.
But you gotta obey Christ first and be His.:
So you got the first thing down… You believe ?
Next you repent by acknowledging to God that you are a terrible sinner against Him and you’re sorry for it. You ask Him to forgive you and you commit to a lifetime battle against your flesh and it’s continued desire to sin.
Then you go down in the watery grave of baptism…. you call a Church of Christ and they WILL take you REGARDLESS of the COVIDS? If they don’t, then move on to next one. But be sure you take your whole body completely under the water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Then you Get up and you love God with all your mind, body, and soul by Hanging on EVERY word that Christ utters. Don’t let ANYONE tell you ANYTHING that contradicts Christ. Don’t let anyone add anything or take anything from what Christ has said. HE is the ONLY one who says what you must do to be saved or not saved. The disciples and everyone else are allowed to say ONLY TOTALLY what Christ said. He is the end all be all.
You love your neighbors as you love yourself, you love EVERYONE BY treating them as you want to be treated. The best way to do that is to MAKE COPIES of yourself by making sure everyone else knows what they must do to be saved…. You become a priest under CHRIST. No one between you and Christ.
Study His word and become an expert before you move on to Acts-Jude. – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John is where you live until death if necessary.
And you will not plan, and desire, and look forward to sin. You regret the sin and you fall and get up asking for forgiveness each time.
God will forgive you as far as the East is from the West. He is Faithful and true!

Go back to the original languages of Hebrew and Greek. You don’t have to read these languages to do this. An Interlinear Bible, which gives a word for word translation of the original languages, and Strong’s concordance will answer so many questions. It is hard work and takes a lot time, but when you experience God opening His word right before your eyes, and then the light of understanding comes on, it is the neatest experience in this life. I got both books online for about $40. I also use the NIV Life Application Bible because, at the front of each book, it gives a summary about the book which tells the author, intended audience, major themes and other info which helps you understand the scriptures. Last thing, when using ANY scripture, be sure to read all the verses around it. Never pull one out of place and use it as a stand alone. Very few verses, especially those which deal with the hard questions, work this way. Please bear in mind that I’m not saying that this process with make you qualified to contribute to professional publications, only that it will bring the word of God alive in your life like nothing else!

The Bible is best at interpreting the Bible.

Although I do not have any sources for you, I propose that you should look up the historical context and literary criticism, and look up commentaries behind whatever section of the Bible you are talking about to better understand it. The Bible is ancient literature and it’s hard without the help of outside sources to understand it. Although majority of everyone in this thread is saying just reread the Bible and trust the Holy Spirit, while I do believe this is something you should do, I also think that we must research the historical context, etymology, and literary criticism of the Bible as well. Remember this is a complicated cannon of literature, that without this research will lead us to ignore or misinterpret what it is trying to tell us. I’m sorry that I was unable to provide you sources, but I hoped this helped.

Holy spirit guidance without that we can’t know the truth

Got to ask how a deity that can encode life into the DNA molecule can’t produce a book that is not hard to understand needing whole libraries to explain its mysteries.
Seems like everything other than the Bible itself is just so much fan fiction trying to add to or take away from the canon.
