It means that God loves them enough to confront them publicly since apparently they would not repent in private.

Unfortunately too often personal prophecy in church or elsewhere is using our own natural knowledge and intuition to “read someone’s mail” or personal information. One can appear to be using a spiritual gift when in fact you are just good at guessing information. Too much of our prophecy or words of knowledge tend to be natural talent or knowledge of people in general rather than true God given revelation.

Used as an idiom to refer to a situation where ‘the secrets of his heart care made manifest ‘ especially n reference to personal prophecies. Some prophecies make reference to details the one prophesying couldn’t naturally know.
