What is the anointing?…as opposed to an emotional high?

Watching Rod Parsley for the first time in many years. He’s definitely changed in some ways. As normal, the morning service is very “vibrant”. They talked about the anointing and all. How can you tell the difference?

The anointing should be to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

Christ went everywhere doing good and healing the oppressed at the same time He was afflicting scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees. He is after all the Christ(anointed one)!
