While in Florida some years ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet a former General Overseer of the Church of God, the Rev. Zeno C. Tharp. What a honor it was to me. He gave me several of his books. He liked the way someone wrote his name, so he made a name stamp out of it and that is how he signed his name, with that name stamp. I forget the reasoning behind it, but he placed a $1 bill in each of his books that he gave to me, along with his name stamp on the inside cover. What a true man of God he was.

I never met him but heard great things about him.

I did get a bowling ball from my professor of New Testament Survey for helping him to move. I think his name was Kyle Hudson but he did not teach at Lee very long. I had Donald Bowdle for Old Testament Survey.
