**Who will receive everlasting contempt?**

*“…and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.” John 5:29b*

*“And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.” Daniel 12:2*

According to John, there will also be a resurrection of condemnation. (John 5:29b) Daniel calls it shame and everlasting contempt. (Dan. 12:2) This resurrection is for those who did evil. (John 5:29, Mat. 13:41; 7:23) Many, not all, shall awake at this resurrection.

Which means this can’t be referring to all who ever lived. For those who awake, some will receive everlasting life, others everlasting contempt. (Dan. 12:2) Which means this can’t be referring to all who are saved. The many who awake have to be all who were once saved.
