It is possible that He was, but you have to do a lot more mental gymnastics to make that happen from the Bible. The more plain teaching of the Bible seems to say that Jesus was other than God. He was the Word made flesh. He was subservient to God. He typically called Himself the Son of Man.

John 1:1 means He was in Gods mind and plan in the beginning that’s why He’s called the Word and not God the Son. He will be to me a Son- Future tense.

It took the church, and the bishop of Alexandria murdering his rival Arian, and instilling fear in the other bishops, since he controlled the empires food supply, the Jesus and God were of the same substance. so that poor skeptical corrupted human mind can comprehend Gods love by just being an ordinary human. -
This statement makes me think of quantum physics. In quantum physics it’s called ‘superposition’ . It’s where both conditions are true at the same exact time but yet our minds can’t fully understand how that can be. It’s only at the time we go to observe it, does it pick one or the other. Jesus is 100% God and at the same exact time, He was 100% man. Mind blowing! It’s only at the time we observe Jesus do we see Him as God or can see and relate to Him as a man. In times of need to one Christian Jesus is God and to another that same Jesus was a man that walked this earth. I know I’m not explaining this very well, sorry. It’s just very cool that Jesus, the Creator of the universe and thus quantum reality, can somehow take on a superposition that we cannot fully understand but yet makes perfect sense.

So, what is the signification for today in our context?
I think, we are usually use theology just as jargonistic method. We are counfused about what is theology relevance for today.
Theologist have to use “what next” thinking method. For example, If Jesus is fully God and fully man, so what know? Is it relevance to me and my context today? -
Jesus is 100% man while Christ is 100% God. Jesus alone is not 100% God and 100% man but Jesus Christ is 100% man and 100% God.

Its God the Father that is going to be the Savior of his people. (Isaiah 9:6,35:4,40:3-5,42:1,43:10-11,49:16,Zachariah 12:10) . By himself he’s Savior and creator (Isaiah 44:24). He does not share his glory (Isaiah 42:8). Jesus said that God was in him and they called him the Father (John 14:7-10). The Spirit in Jesus was the Father (John 16:28). Jesus clearly said only the Father is God (John 17:3). Jesus was not some separate God the eternal Son. That not in the Bible. That’s an invention over 100s of years. He will be to me a Son- Future tense. Jesus was the image of the Father (Colossians 1:15). The Fathers person (Hebrews 1:3 KJV). Jesus was called the Son of God because he was born from the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35). Not because He was an eternal Son that came into Mary. No eternal Son is ever mentioned. Trinitarians are the biggest Modalists of all. They maneuver Jesus through God the Father and the Spirit never showing up as this God the eternal Son and then dogmatically preach a separate three person trinity. It’s a total mess. It’s unbib to say the least. You can’t get One Lord with two separate Lords. Clearly Jesus is Lord in the New Testament. Clearly the Father is Lord of the Old Testament. Jesus referred to himself as the Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, the I AM, and the Lord of the Sabbath. Those are all terms of the Father. And don’t give me that Elohim stretch. That word is used for men in the Old Testament also. It’s not a trinity. And don’t give me that “Oh look He was the Word with God and he was God” spill. You’re not looking at what it is saying. He was a Word in the beginning. Not a God the Son. He was the plan. The Old Testament was about him. He was in Gods mind in the beginning. God was the Word (in the Greek it’s flipped at the end of John 1:1). God was the plan himself. That’s what it means. He would be Savior of his own creation. John 1:14 the Word became flesh: exactly. This is where Jesus was actually born. Gods Word was fulfilled in Jesus. He was slain from the foundation of the World (plan language).

The fullness of Jesus Christ as God and man is what we called hypostatic union.. He is fully God-man. That’s the mystery that I’m excited to be revealed to me in the last last day.
And I suppose, theologically, better to use FULLY than 100%.
