Hi, Linda. You might find this article of mine helpful: https://wit.irr.org/jesus-michael-archangel

  2. Bhronda Pinder says:

Doesn’t Michael’s name mean “who is like God”?

  3. Linda Bolen says:

    Several (Translations) for consideration-

  4. Mercy Basilio says:

With an archangels trumpet, he will be wearing archangels voice.

And God’s trumpet- will be having God’s trumpet.

He’s not an archangel, neither is he God no?

  5. Linda Bolen says:

With the trumpet of God meaning- It belongs to God.
So he is called the Lord none other than [Jesus] but he has an archangels voice.
The use of [archangel] seems important.
*For it could just as easily said.. with a great shout and a commanding call but it didn’t.
Dan. 12:1 During that time Michael the great [Prince] will stand for the people during a time of great tribulation/distress.
    Isaiah 9:6 Prince of Peace

    Matt. 24:21-22
Jesus speaks here of a great tribulation such has never been…

  6. Ed Lepkowicz says:

So that the whole world would hear him perhaps?

  7. Toni Armstrong says:

Jesus is the Creator The Almighty God

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. The Lord himself — The Lord Christ, arrayed in all his own glory, and in that of his Father

The voice of the, or rather, (as the article is wanting in the original,) an archangel — He, probably, who will preside over that innumerable company of angels who are to attend Christ when he comes to judge the world.

  8. Chris Krumlauf says:

Explain how Jesus will return with the voice of a trumpet.

  9. Jennifer A Epps says:

Perhaps like the angels announced His first coming, also angels will announce His second coming

  10. Linda Bolen says:

    1 Thes. 4:16-
    Arch-denotes: arch,
    over, bridge…
    Arch-angeI denotes over other angels.

Yahweh/ the Father in the old testament is often called Lord of Hosts or Armies as found in various text throughout- Isaiah 8:13.
    Isa. 9:7 says,
The Lord/Yahweh or [Jehovah of Armies] will do this.. denoting sovereignty.

We know this has reference to God the Almighty as noted, for HE too has many (titles).

The point being- the use of Arch-angel in [1Thes. 4-16] seems to be used as a (title).
Lord of HOSTS is sometimes used in reference to the Most High.
    BUT…
We know the Most High is never referred to as an (archangel).
Using the term: Lord of Hosts or angels/armies in reference to the Most High Ps. 83:28 in no way takes away from God’s
    sovereignty.

So in using [archangel] in a subjective sense here in text does not diminish Jesus’s nature but adds further evidence of his many titles and rank.
Michael in/ Hebrew meaning: Who is like God?
Indicating his name [Michael] extols and praises the Most High.
    Ps. 83:18 kjv
